September 10, 2006. Such a marvelous day.
Winning a contest on MyFM, YZ and I attended a Fans Gathering with Jin Sha and Yee Chung! It was held in GasOnline Cafe, Sg Wang at 8pm. Believe me, my first time a Sg Wang!
We managed to catch last part of the MyFM concert which was held at Sg Wang entrance, at which Yee Chung was the last performing artist. He sang the songs [Bu Da Yang De Dian], [Shi Lian Xue] and [Zai Jian], and he dedicated the latter song to his PA, who would be leaving the company soon. Such a touching moment...
Fans' Gathering session
At the gathering venue, I was quite surprised by the huge number of people present. Found out that there were 6 units of winners who were invited. Around 30-40 people.
Before the arrival of the VIPs, the MC, Jason (MyFM DJ) chose team members for Yee Chung and Jin Sha to play a game. Within minutes, we got to see the prince and the princess! They looked as good as usual. Chatted with Jason for a while, about their future plans, blablabla...
Q&A session
Next came the Q&A session. I managed to ask them a question, regarding whether they would switch back to their 'career'(say microbiologist?) from their 'interest' (music). YC replied that it would be tough, because microbiology is like a computer, required upgrading and updating, and since he has been away from the industry for a long time, it would be hard to switch back. But he doesn't rule out the possibility. Whereas, Jin Sha mentioned that music has been her interest since young, she loved to sing and create (or change) the lyrics of the songs she sing. she was previously a reporter. YC acknowledge her for achieving her dreams.
Besides, YC said that his next album might include songs which are more rhythmic, but he will most probably not dance (sad...), as he name himself as "lao gu tou' (old bones)! JS expressed that she'd like to take part in another drama. She even had in mind a drama where YC will act as a killer/murderer, Ah Do as the Head of a 'black society', whereas JJ can become her brother. how interesting!
JS felt that the guys in Malaysia are very 'MAN'. Her type of guys can be like that of a movie, [Summer More More Tea], where the guys play guitar and sing along at the beach. Ooh, that's beautiful! YC teased her instead, asking whether she liked Ah Niu, or Michael wong, who were actors in the movie.
The Game
the game came next, where one team member would sing a song and the opponent continue it. I was chosen for the game (earlier, well...as the crazy person I am, I try to get every chance to be near YC...hehe). It was fun to see YC and JS upclose, in a relaxed mood. The way they played 'paper, scissors, stone' was even a wonder...haha! **
Though YC got the priority in the beginning, our team lost in the end. Somehow we just ain't so familiar with JS's songs. Paiseh. but we got consolation prizes and group photo too! Yey! and JS was so nice, she let me stand beside YC! but there was this little voodoo doll hanging from the ceiling blocking me...sweat...there goes my only photo with Yee Chung and Jin Sha...
After this was the group photo session, where the 6 groups of winners shoot with YC and JS. Aha1 The cheeky me quickly chose a strategic place...where else but beside YC??! Haha... even YC turned around and said,"hey, you shi ni!" (You again!) (Maybe he was getting fed up of seeing me again...hah!) But later, I gave my precious place to YZ, coz she hasn't gotten to stand beside him yet. Imagine the smile on her face! **
In the end, Jason chatted with them again, and bid farewell to them (JS is leaving for China while YC will be heading to taiwan to prepare his next album). Oh, so no autograph session. kinda disappointed. I stood by the aisle, ready to bid them last goodbye. Many fans started raining down gifts for them, many of them are stuffed dolls (how lucky of JS!), and some fans handed out albums for her to sign on.
OMG! Autographs?!! Yikes! I quickly rushed back to my seat and got my guitar! But by the time I reach back the aisle, YC has already passed. But I didn't care, I started calling out to him (you can also call that 'shout'). After 2-3 times calling him, he turned around, and I requested for him to sign on my guitar.
And he said YES!! He walked back here. He signed so nicely, the way he always do for each of his albums. And now, haha... this has become a real stimulator for me to work hard in guitar learning! As I have said, Yee Chung has inspired me a lot!!
They left shortly, while we the fans stayed back for some refreshment. Met the Fan Club members, one of whom YC himself recognised. How lucky! Now I wonder whether he will remember the crazy me, maybe my shiny braces look significant enough! Haha!
**My Marvelous Experience!!**
I was the last of 3 to play. Before that, YC told me, "jin li jiu hao." (Just try your best.) But nevertheless, I didn't know the song my opponent sang, so I lost. YC said, "mei guan xi, mei guan xi." I kinda apologise to him, and he replied,"mei guan xi," then he whispered to me,"wo ye bu hui!" (I dunno also!) Hahaha... so cute, so nice of him. I knew he was just trying to console us, though I guess he really didn't know the song! Hehe...
After the group photo for MyFM winners, YZ tried talking to YC... about an event at UKM. But somehow, YC was not sure, "you an pai ma?" (is there arrangement for this?) Then, we had to leave, wonder what they said in the end.
When signing my beloved guitar, finding that I didn't have a pen (how careless of me), his PA handed out a marker pen to him (thanks a lot to his PA!). i struggled a bit while taking out the guitar from the case, so he kindly said, "man man lai, man man lai." (slowly..no rush) *Meltz~!* Putting the guitar down on the floor...
YC: "yao qian na li?" (where to sign?)
me: "em..." (no idea...as you like?)
He signed on the top front. Though the autograph seemed kinda weird or rather upside-down for some people (because of his position), it doesn't matter to me, I love it anyway! It was a rush of time, yet YC was willing to take some time to sign...I'm so touched!!! He even spoke to me!
YC: "ni you tan ji ta ma?" (do you play guitar?)
me: "hai zai xue xi..." (still learning.)
I was too excited, I guess I even forgot to see him out. I forgot if I thanked him, but deep down inside, I feel so thankful, and so touched. Thanks a lot, Yee Chung kor kor, you are so nice!
All the way, YC and JS had been giving their best. There must be times when they are very tired, but they will still have smiles on their faces. They treat their fans and staff nicely, and would speak and act in a humble way. Such are the qualities of artists which are rarely found in the entertainment circle. Really, I was so truly happy when Yee Chung agreed to sign on my guitar, and even asked me not to rush, when otherwise he could be heading for bed a few minutes earlier!
Gotta thank MyFM for giving his chance, thank my dad for sending us there, and Yc's PA for the marker pen! Most of all, thank you to Jin Sha and Yee Chung for spending time with us, being patient with us and treating us so well! I have never met any artist so humble and friendly.
All the Best to Yee Chung and Jin Sha! We will miss you guys so much! Really hope to see you in Malaysia again. can't wait for Yee Chung's drama [The Beginning] and his upcoming album!!

Miscellaneous
Dad was originally going out-station. Not anymore, Yey! many problems solved.
Frst, guitar class.
Then, the fan's meeting session with Yee Chung and Jin Sha. It will be at sg Wang, which is kinda hard in transport aspect especially at night. Now I hope that dad will pick us up...
There's the Awards Day. I had been down over my dad over not attending the ceremony, which is my first ever in UCSI.

Great. There goes Friday. Didn't go for duty today. and there goes the 2nd week, with only 2 hours of work.
I regret a lot for choosing school of IT and Management for this semester. I wanted to continue in School of Engineering, but there were no more places.
I realised the ease of duty at the previous school. The supervisor wasn't strict, and doesn't mind a lot about the working hours, as long as we do work. How great was that.
But now over here, the supervisor will fill my time-sheet (which is the right way). And she will write the hours I was there, NOT my initial planning hours. And so, I have trouble planning my working now.
Even worse off, they DON'T have much work for me to do!! What'a heck??! Then how am I going to complete my duty?? ANd why are they assigned so many scholarship students?? It's CRAZY!! I'm so much worried now... I really don't like it here, they really do treat me as a worker. Shit.
And they expect me to go to the heads to look for work. Suddenly I feel like I'm a jobless looking for employment. Or even a salesgirl trying dispose the products at hand.
I really don't mean to, but... I HATE THIS PLACE!!!

Complaints about the contractor again.
Heard my mom talking over the phone about the renovation. She was complaining about some works done without her knowledge, and messed them up.
I truly doubt about the contractor's 'professionalism'. he doesn't even use his brains! Resulting in mistakes here and there! And more ridiculously, he wants us to pay him more to re-do the mistakes1 WHAT??!!Whether he is uncle or elder or whatever, I really wish I could smack him!!

Wasting time
Here I am, wasting my time again.
should have stayed at home and come later. I could be snoring in my bed now. Urgghhh...
The half-an-hour stuck at the LRT station... Shit. Crowded with people. I dunno what the hell is up with Rapid KL. Technical problems every once in a while. I hope they don't shout "Malaysia Boleh!"
Leave the Malaysians some face man...
And damn, I thought I could have come for duty today, but then, no work for me. Could have completed 3 hours of work time. And now, I'm sitting in the Computer lab again. Spoiling my eyes. Geesh...
Still feeling down and moody bout yesterday. It seems like I cannot trust anyone now. Or is it just me who is too sensitive? But then, who likes the feeling of loneliness? Who likes to be betrayed?
For sure, I don't.
I hope I can get over this soon. Though I know that I will continue to have a hard time.

Malaysia and Singapore's Chief Monk passes away
The Buddhist Channel, Aug 31, 2006
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -- The Chief monk of Malaysia and Singapore, Ven. Dr K Sri Dhammananda Maha Nayaka Thera passed away peacefully at 12.42 pm today. He was 87.
The venerable's "home coming" to the Buddhist Maha Vihara
Born in the small village of Kirinde, Matara in southern Sri Lanka on March 18, 1919, Ven. Dr K Sri Dhammananda or "Chief" as he is fondly called, was ordained at the age of 12.
He was given the name "Dhammananda" which means "one who experiences happiness through Dhamma." At the age of 22. he received higher ordination (upasampada) under Venerable K Ratanapala Maha Thera, the Chief abbot of Kotawila Vihara.
Ven. Dr K Sri Dhammananda came to Malaya (now Malaysia) in January 1952. He has since then made Malaysia his adopted home. His contribution to the development of Buddhism in pre-independence Malaya and then modern Malaysia is beyond measure.
Ven Dhammaratana leading the puja session with other monks.
He was foremost in promoting Buddhist education to the grassroot and was responsible to bring basic Buddha-Dharma teachings to the lay people. The venerable's impact was especially felt amongst the English speaking local Buddhists.
Meanwhile at the Buddhist Maha Vihara in Kuala Lumpur, the venerable's body was brought back to the vihara at around 5.30 pm today local time. The temple has declared 3 days of official mourning.
Members of the public can pay their last respect to the venerable at the "Dewan Asoka". The funeral will take place on Sunday.

My family and I went to the Buddhist Maha Vihara last night to pay our last respect to the Chief Reverend, and have a last look at him.
Though I have no much encounter with the Chief, I appreciate his effort in expounding the Dhamma.
May the Chief be reborn in a blissful state and attain Nibbana.
Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu!

Thrilling Merdeka!!!
Woohoo!!
August 31 was Malaysia's National Day. Had a lot going on. Can be considered a special National Day indeed. Just a briefing...
~Watched [Taegukgi] on tv. Though the 3rd time watching it, the scenes in near the end still made me shed tears.
~Had pork for almost 5 meals continuously. All because of YZ who was back for holiday. Got tired of it. The big piece of fat from "siou bak" still haunts me. =( But the "Bak Kut Teh" was good! Our regular destination for the delicacy, [Yi Xin Ge], best in PJ and...KJ, Kelana Jaya!
~It was raining again. Constantly thinking of the Rain God, Yee Chung. Well, would be seeing him at night, can't wait!
~Jin Sha mini concert!! That's the main reason for this blog. Haha!
~And i finally met Fish from DFC forum, who is a big fan of Yee Chung and David Tao too! Haha... She was with Fanny, Soursand, and another gurl (sorry, forgot her name, paiseh paiseh). Didn't meet Fish and Fanny though we were at JJ's concert, and I believe at the same area too!
[Jin Sha Unbelieveable Mini Concert]
Yes, it was Unbelieveable. The mini concert was held at the main hall of Confucian Independent School, at 8pm. Again, we asked for Cousin Heck to ferry us there (and join us of course). Glad that Jin could go, though her exam is approaching. My initial plan was to join the MyYeeChung Fans' Club, but then we changed places to MyFM winners' section (where 2 of us were supposed to be).
Being a crazy girl who would get really crazy, my greatest fear was being seated in a 'cold' area. Coz I hate being like a fool, cheering on my own. Uhuh, and my fear was there. Actually it was almost the whole audience which was 'cold'. Seems like majority of it was there for Yee Chung, including me.
I do adore Jin Sha. I noticed her since she first appear on Malaysian TV in a Chinese drama called [Shi Ba Sui De Tian Kong] (The world of the 18-year-olds). Her character was a sweet pretty girl, and had a special relationship with a boy of the same class. The actor of that character was Li Zhi Nan, who appeared in her recent MV. She looks quite like that character (Lan Fei Ling), very sweet and cute.
Though she doesn't like to pose in the 'trendy' "cute" smiles (those which you twist your fingers and mouth like anything), but she does look truly cute doing that, as if she was born for that. and she has really beautiful fair skin. If I were a guy, I'd go for her! Haha!
The event started off with a video clip about Confucian 100th Anniversary, followed by a 'hand-language performance' by Beliawanis.

Phoebe as the MC.
Then out comes Jin Sha! She looked so good and cute, in a white 'bubbly' dress, just like a little princess. Her performance was quite good, tough there's still room for improvement. As I mentioned earlier, the audience was quite stingy of cheers. I wished I could have shouted out loud, but not wanting to look like a fool, I did not. Boo.

A chit-chat with Yee chung and Jin Sha.
And out hopped Yee Chung! He was in a pink shirt, which he claimed that it shrunk1 Hehe... nevermind, he still appeared like a Prince! So we have a prince and a princess on stage!
They chatted a while about Jin Sha's album, which then Jin Sha fed the audience about the kind of girl which Yee Chung adored (in her opinion, that is). During this, Phoebe kinda asked him if he agreed, and he made a gesture shaking his shoulders, which of course was truly cute!! Hehe...

Talking about umbrella, seeing the umbrellas brought by myyeechung members.
Yee Chung delivered 2 songs, [Kao An] and [Shi Lian Xue]. During the songs, he threw poster to the audience, and playfully tricked us! Haha!

Yee Chung singing away...
During the second song, he came down to stage to us. Once Ihe was in front of me for about 2 seconds, just half a metre away! WOOHOO!!! It was so cool to see him up so close! Really got so crazy! And when he turned back, I kinda touhed his arm, and haha... I guess he was surprised and looked this way! Hehe... Imagine how thrilled I was!!
Btw, I did a stupid thing. Of course everyone was very excited and wanted to catch the posters thrown (like throwing food into the water for the fish...sweat). Once a poster was caught by a boy on duty, and guess what, I grabbed it from him! Damn crazy! Never in my life had I thought I would do that. And very paiseh and sorry to that guy. He seemed to wanted to keep it, but then he was on duty right? Hehehe... Though I feel really ashamed...sweat sweats...

A get-ready posture to throw us the posters!
Obviously, majority of the crowd was there to support Yee Chung (including us). When he came on stage, the cheers for him was double of that for Jin Sha. So, Yee Chung had to 'plead' the audience to support Jin Sha besides supporting him.
After that, a futher composer artist of Hai-O, Lee Zhi Qing (whose album will be released soon) played the guitar to accompany with Jin Sha singing. Kinda got super-excited when I the guiatr being brought out! Haha! Make a wild guess, you'd know that I'm obsessed with guitars now. *Sweat* Not too familiar with some of the songs, but all the way, they sounded nice, especially the guiat music. =D
The two hottest songs were [Ben Dan] and [Bu Ke Si Yi], which the latter was the encore song. These two songs really got the crowd to sing along. I especially love [Ben Dan] (Stupid), which is very touching. The myyeechung members even shouted "Ben Dan" to her, but she cutely replied that she's happy! Such a sweet girl!
In the end was the autograph session. After much thought and consideration (duhh...), we rushed to purchase Yee Chung's Special Edition album (with music videos!!). The chance to go on stage was given to Jin, as she would not be able to attend the Fans Meeting Session.
And gosh, how I envy! She was on stage for such a long time (3 minutes WAS a long time), and fancy having Yee Chung looking at her... writing (our names)! In the end, Yee Chung only wrote our surname, coz the PA thought writing 3 names was too much. =( Anyway, his hand-writing was so neat (for guys, you know). I miss seeing him signing his autograph, the sincere and serious and dedicated look. Aww...
And a first-time experience. When we got outside the hall, we found a van parked next to my cousin's car. Yeah! That's their van!! Rushing over there, we found Fish and gang already waiting! (Haha... they are the experienced gang!) First to come out was Lee Zhi Qing, who was still as shy as usual (with his head so low...heehee). He was holding his guitar and some other stuff, but still shook hands with us. Nice guy. =) That means I'm gonna support him... spiritually~!!
A little moment later Jin Sha appeared, all smiles. She looked so pretty upclose, and slowed down her footsteps to greet us goodbye. I suddenly had the urge to hug her! Hehe...so looked just like a doll... =D
Yee Chung was out at last, but he was walking quite fast. But it was good to see him too. And I wanted to hug him too. But I couldn't! wooooo...
Seeing Zhi Qing by the window, YZ made gestures to attract his attention so as to take a photo. He did look out at us, but with no facial expression (Doraemon? Hehe...). No photos taken in the end (dark screen, arghh!). Well, couldn't see Yee Chung and Jin Sha, coz sun-shades were on the window. (Whether to block out the sunshine or to block us from seeing them... must be the latter!)
End of the exciting day! WAiting to see Yee Chung and Jin Sha again.
There's the Fans Meeting Session coming up! Too bad it's for half an hour only, but I'll attend anyway! Yippee!!

The affectionate look in him...

*Drools*
Hope you enjoyed!

Round the Corner
Oooh! Mid-Autumn Festival is just round the corner!
Well, nothing so exciting about it. I'm not a kid anymore. Which is sad...
anyway, there's bad and good news. The good news is, we've got mooncakes to eat! YUMMY!!
And the bad news, I can't move into my new house yet.
All because of the damn contractor. Trusted him, yet he betrayed us. And the house will most probably not be done before Mid-autumn.
So, no house-warming on Mid-autumn Festival lor. Gagaga...
I like the festival a lot. Other than Chinese New Year (in terms of Chinese's festivals), this is an important day for me. I don't know why. Usually it's only "celebrated" with eating mooncakes. Which can be quite boring. And because of the last 5 years in high school, the festival is almost always near exam time, we couldn't really find time to celebrate it.
Looking back, I kinda pity myself. Comparing to many other Chinese children in the country, I (and my sisters) have the least celebrated the "Lantern" festival.
All those years in China, I have never 'played' lanterns during the festival. In the first few years, there seemed to be no big deal about it, besides having lotsa mooncakes. My dad got them as gifts from his friends. How greatly we missed the lovely times with lanterns, and the mooncakes which are made in Malaysia.
*Indeed, mnay of chinese mooncakes don't taste as good. =) *
In the final 2 years or somewhat, some local Chinese community held Mid-Autumn Festival parties at the basketball court right behind our apartment block. Woohoo... imagine eating mooncakes and looking all over for the full-moon in the freezing wind! maybe that's how Ice-cream mooncakes came about!
And that's it. Fancy living in China without having to celebrate a chinese festival.
Well, we really did hope to drag our lanterns out (oh, and we have at least 7 of them!) and hang them at the windows. we just dread that either the candle will be out in a second, or the whole thing will turn into a fire-ball!
*So, never stay in an apartment! Haha! not funny...*
Talking about lanterns, many might feel that technology has 'improved' it. Nowadays I seldom see kids playing with candle-lit lanterns. Instead, they have electronic ones! They come in all shapes and sizes, with everything from the simplest fish models to favourite cartoons such as Mashimaro and Hamtaro. And many of them come with music too. My neighbour has a grandchild who played with it last year until we got tired of it.
I would say those stuff are marvelous... if they are not so-called "lanterns". what are lanterns really? To me, the joy lies in the 'traditional' lanterns using candles, where a dim light is seen through some colourful papers. It may be tiring and frustrating to keep the canle flame from going off or burning the lantern, but overall, it just seems so peaceful and romantic, doesn't it?
If you were to use the electronic ones, which you can shake them, throw them, swing them, turn them upside-down, and 'fly' them across the sky, well I guess our ancestors might as well replace lanterns with light-bulbs... protected by layers of plastic. why take the trouble to make delicately beautiful non-fire-protection lanterns?
Okay, enough of bragging. It wasn't all nonsense, but don't take it hard. Just my opinion, don't mean to insult.
Anyway, Enjoy the festival. It's gonna be a sweet festival, either big or small celebration.
Try to go home to unite with your family.
Or else, call them, to wish them well and happy.
May happiness be with you always.
Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu!

Not Just a bit of SHOCK!!
It was such a horrified day, 28/8/2006. Starting from 2.00am.
Yes, 2am. Was kinda regretting when I went online till so late. That's after I opened eAdvantage to check my exam result.
Never expected this. I STARED at the monitor screen.
"OH MY GOD!"
I couldn't help but exclaimed. I couldn't believe my eyes. I was TOTALLY SHOCKED!!!
On the result slip, I saw a "D"!! Scanning the row, it is for GENERAL PHYSICS!!! WHAT??!! What'e H*** is this?? 40 marks?!
"How can it be? It can't be...it can't be..."
Images of the paper ran through my mind. I remember I could do at least half the paper. So how come I would fail?
Then I recalled something. during the end of the exam, the staff-on0duty forgot to collect the papers in my row, so we had to pass up by ourselves. What if they misplaced it? Our had they penalised us??
I started to panick. The instant of my mind told me to email the lecturer. I explained my situation and the incident which happened, which may have been brought the effects of getting this poor unbelieveable result.
I tried to calm myself down, and plan my next steps. I couldn't help from thinking about the consequences...re-check the paper? Sitting for Supplementary paper? Scholarship terminated??!
My mind was getting wild, getting crazy. I could only think of negative stuff. Finally, under so much pressure, I broke into tears. Yes, like a child, weeping away when something is not right. I couldn't help it... I was and I am still very exhausted from the pressure of studies, family, money and scholarship.
Actually, for many other students, this might be just an "Oh damn it, gotta take supp paper" thingy. But for me, it's a HUGE thing coz... I cannot fail in any paper! Failing would bring a great impact and big effect to my study carrier here.
Next morning (this morning, that is), I went to the University just for the purpose of seeing the lecturer. 3 hours transport time, 2 hours waiting, just for 10 minutes of seeing Mr Moey.
when Mr Moey saw my name, he was quite surprised. Just then, I saw a bright side of the incident. He checked his records, and told me that I didn't fail. I got an "A" instead! Wow... it was such a relief1 He informed the person-in-charge, and assured me of them fixing the problem.
Oh well, thank goodness! Now I know at least my hard work paid off. Though my worries and tears were wasted. Can't believe that this would happen to me in my very first semester at UCSI. I hope it won't happen again. It really does bring unnecessary mental pressure to me.
Hope I will do well in this sem. Very anxious about General Chemistry.
All the best to myself!
*I'm a bit unsatisfied about getting a B+ in Introduction to Business paper. I was only 1 MARK away from A. ARGGGHHH~~~ But the MCQ part of paper was tough, not many questions we had not covered. Haiz...

Feeling Heavy
It seems like it has been more than half a year since I last donated blood.
Missed out the donation campaign last Thursday in my campus, as I had to be on duty that day, and afraid to be exhausted by the long way home.
Whether it's true or just a mere psychology effect, I kinda feel 'heavy' with my body, without donating blood. Or is it because I feel bad for not donating blood to help? Hmm...crazy...
And, it's been 4 months since I last went jogging. I truly don't like the process of it, but it feels great having to exert the sweat from my body. Ahh.. it's an achievement! Haha!
But I still don't like jogging.
I prefer playing ball games. However, ever since I sprained my foot, I haven't played any basketball or badminton. It been a month plus. Now I wonder whether the CH F6 Sports Club activity is still available, coz the president seem to suddenly disappear.
Well, I still have to keep my body fit. For the moment, I am taking up Yogalates, a combination of Yoga and Pilates. I have no coach, just a book. Gotta practise everyday, or there will be no effect, whether for fitness or beauty =). Hopefully It works. Will find some time to visit the gym in campus when school starts. I might try out the 'running machine'--treadmill, that is. I prefer to jog on parallel ground, rather than the usual one I use which is hilly and round a garden.
Hope my dad will bring me to the National Blood Centre next weekend.
Oh, and I'm 18! No need of getting permission from parents to donate blood! (which got me really busy last time...)

Dhamma Quiz BISDS 2006
I took part in a Dhamma Quiz today. My class was to be in Group C, and the competition was between school 1 and School 2.
It was such a 'fearful' moment when 3 participants (out of 4) couldn't turn up. The remaining one was... me of course. Thank goodness one of the finally made it, and we asked permission for one of the committee who was from the same class to join our team.
I was very anxious about the questions to be asked, as I had earlier watched the group A & B competitions. I expect them to be tougher, and I was right. Luckily for some of the questions (especially dealing with Dhamma) I GUESSED them right, which was a relief.
I didn't expect to win the quiz, as I had not done enough preparation (that means STUDY) for it. BUT I WON!!! The score of both teams were very close, maybe by 2 marks difference.
It was unbelieveable for us, as it was for the opponent team, as I think they expect to win. Well I recognise one of their participants who often take the Buddhism exams. In the end, they wanted to throw us the microphone stand, obviously they weren't pleasant (who would, if they were to lose). Not sporting enough, sigh...
As a prize, I was given a TILE. Haha... it's painted with beautiful gorgeous colors, which acts as a trophy. Our certificates are to come soon...
Thanks so much for the committee member (sorry don't really know her) for helping me and the team.
CHEERS GUYS!

PROGRAM KARNIVAL PATRIOTIK 2006
24 Ogos 2006. This date might not be so much memorable, but it is definitely a special experience (or not).
The Program Karnival Patriotik 2006 was held in UCSI this year. It was a special event attended by students from both government and private higher institutes. The VIP of the event was the Parliamentary secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education (if I'm not wrong).
My 'Duty'
I was supposed to be on duty then, as of all the scholarship students. The event is scheduled to start at 2pm, but we were to arrive there at 12.30pm, which made me miss out my lunch-time! (sobsob...) We were given t-shirts, then given instructions for duty at different locations in the campus.
I was assigned to a staircase near the lobby lift. I do wonder what the purpose was, as I did not have to usher the 'foreign' students, because they seem to know where to go. We were there about 40 mintues only (thank goodness not till the end of the carnival!).
Later, we were ushered out to the staircase of the main door, and were told to stand there, and be 'flag-stands'! We had to wave the little cute flags, and were told to shout and make some noise (Okay, so the VIP likes noise?!)
Okay great, a common tradition of all VIPs of my our country...being late. That kept us standing outside under the sun for at least 40 minutes. But he's quite sporty (can consider that), as he took a flag from one student and waved with us. Haha...
The Carvinal
We were quickly ushered up to the MPH for the programme. It's a great thing that we get to watch the show (and not stand somewhere else in the campus). We are the representatives of UCSI!
Waiting is as if 'compulsory'. Until the VIPs arrive, the event started with the Parliamentary Secretary's speech. Unfortunately I was half-sleeping (or meditation...haha), so I can't tell you much about the contents. This was my first time witnessing a hi-tech (maybe) opening ceremony. The fact that I actually exclaimed! So much different from high school style (pulling a ribbon and the banner opens).
Before this, there was of course the National anthem (which I haven't sung for more than half a year) and Bacaan Doa.
Later, there was a video presentation (which I was quite touched by), followed by the choir. I find the Harmonica performance of the song [Setia] very interesting, it was my favourite show of the event. Both are from UCSI. And the students were quite sporty to sing along with the beautiful melody! One of the staff (I believe), Prof. Dr. Norfadzillah also presented a song Bahtera Merdeka, which seemed a popular song among the Malay students.
Next came the poem reciting presentation by students from UNITEN. erm... not too interested, hehe... Students from LUCT gave a choir presentation, followed by A drama cum dacing performance by Kolej Shahputra.
The UPM students presented a quite elegant show, which is a combination of dances of the three main races in the country. Somehow they are lack of chinese dancers though... only 2...hehe.
Last but not least, the Dikir Barat. A familiar performance, reminded me of the times in Beijing, once when the younsters from the embassy had to perform in a mall. Not quite my favourite, but I like the beat of it.
It was a fascinating carnival, with a glamourous ending. Everyone was up to sing [Keranamu Malaysia] and [Jalur Gemilang]. Again, it was so much different from the high school 'singing' method. Everyone (almost) was excited and happy. even the VIP wave the huge Jalur Gemilang on stage! The representatives of each IPTA/IPTS went on stage. The stage looked so charming, so exciting, so beautiful.
The feelings...
For a moment I felt, doesn't it feel great to be independent? Doesn't it feel good to be in peace? The spirits of the students in the hall made me feel that all of us there were the next generation to lead the country. We were to follow the Prime Minister's motto, "Work with me, not for me".
I believe our country can be labelled a developed country soon, if we put in our effort to upgrade ourselves and to serve the country. appreciation for the country is not to be shown in once in a year only, it should be a lasting feeling, always, all throughout the whole life. All of us play a role in the development of the country.
for now, I wish all of you, as well as my country, "Happy Independence Day!"
MERDEKA! MERDEKA! MERDEKA!
P/S: Unfortunately I don't have a camera, the photos would have been more charming! Will try to post them if I ever snatched some. =)

If I have three months left...
"Long live me!" I do wish myself long life, I still want to play my role in this society.
If, IF I really have only three months left of my life,
I would get my 'social-work aspiration' going immediately. I had often wanted to help the less-fortunate society, the disabled, the old folks, the parentless. Maybe I can't do much help materialistically, but I wish to learn some counselling to help them realise that the world can be brighter than they think it is.
If possible, I'd like to travel to the places i've been desiring to go. If there's a chance, I'de even do social work while traveling.
And one most important thing is, to let my family and friends know that I appreciate them all the while.
And to tell my mom and dad, "I love you."

What will you do...
What will you do, if you have THREE months left of your life?
Oooh... that's a tough one. My Sunday School teacher shot us with this question last few weeks.
Let's see, wanna travel the whole world, well at least to visit Beijing again (eheh, [Gong Ti Bei] hehe...never really walked that place), and tour some historical European countries like Greece, Italy, bla bla bla... and to Disneyland (no, not the one in Hong Kong, that's too crowded). Oh, and Taiwan, where I wanna meet my pop idols...akakakaka...I wanna meet F4, Yee chung, JJ, Jolin, David T., bla bla bla... And on to Ireland and england to see Westlife, then to US to meet BSB...
No. Stop. Hold on. I need to think this over...

Strange world
This is a strange world.
While some people are trying their best to help other people fight for their lives against the most deadly diseases in many parts of the world, In some other parts of the earth, some people are trying to destroy some other people's lives.
While some children would throw away their best toys, some others are striving hard to get food and shelter.
This, is an IMBALANCED world.
It's such a grief to look at the world. So much terror, so much horror. Nature disaster, human disaster. so much grief, so much pain, so much disappointment.
The world is lack of equanimity. I guess it always is. The best we can do is for the more fortunate more to help the unfortunate ones, including humans, animals and nature. Giving donations, and voluntary help can help ease them a lot, moreover u can generate karma.
If you know karma (fruit of your actions), you will know that it is like an account book which you will carry forward to your next life. So why not, when you have the ability, do good deeds where you help others as well as gain yourself more karma?
One of my aspiration is to join a welfare group and help the less fortunate society. I can't change the world, but at least, I hope I can make changes in the lives of these people.
By the way, we who are sitting here comfortably should really be thankful and appreciate that our area and country are more peaceful as compared to some countries.
Fellow friends, it's time we appreciate the independence of our country. =)

My life...miserable
Sometimes I really do wonder, what's the purpose of my life? What can I do in my life? What is waiting for me in the future?
I often wonder, especially when I'm down. As I am right now.
What is life, for a teenager? Is it about studies? That we have to study hard in order to achieve our goals in future?
Okay, that sounds like it, my life. If it is the aim, I am 50 percent achieving. You might call me nerd, I feel like I am, though I hate the idea of it. And yes, I still need a lot more hard work.
But I feel that it is still lack of some colors. I feel that I have never done anything special in my life before. Except that I've been overseas before.
10 years ago, I was in China. I had dreamed of joining a camp. But then, I couldn't. International school it is, but it is only half of ISB. (I really hate the badminton court!!) Camping in a forest sounds fun to me. I loved the idea of group work, and the physical activities in the wild. I have always wanted to experience a campfire, barbequeing and singing round a campfire sounds very very fun!
10 years later, I still haven't had a taste of it before. Though I had been to a Family Day held in a forest reserve, it wasn't an overnight activity.
And moreover, yet sadly, I find myself afraid of more and more stuff, especially insects. And I hate mosquitoes (ya right, I am a great 'attraction' to these blood-suckers!). So how am I to survive in a camp?
Lately (last weekend), there was an outing organised by my Sunday School, to Port Dickson. I planned to go, my dad encouraged me, but it was in vain, as my mom disalloed me because it was on the 7th month. Actually, I am quite afraid coming to think of it, fortunately my mom 'stopped' me, but I am still very sad not being able to join the outing... and missing out the fun which I have always been waiting for--FLYING FOX!!!
Despite leading the Tennis Club for two whole years, I haven't or seldom really and trully enjoyed myself in co-curriculum activities. For one thing, my club wasn't nice to lead at all, and believe me, it was a 'disasterous' club, no discipline at all, despite my effort to revive it! (Hey, I did my best, man!) Even more unfortunately, my sister is taking over the post, AND it is STILL the same. (But at least now there are some pre-talents in the club, from my observation.)
Thank goodness I had ELS. Though the members are quite limited, I enjoyed more over there. I can see group work there (whereas in my club, I had to do almost everything). I can communicate better, as the memebrs are more discipline and respectful towards the committee members. Cheers to ELS!
I've never, and I guess I will never have the chance to experience the exciting orientation which my Form-6-friends had, as well as that of local university.
You see, it seems like I have only these few things to tell you, you can see my 'limited' life. I seldom get to see and hang out with my friends, and I've almost never been to any parties.
Even more miserable, is that I can't even do my duties well. Housework, that is. As my elder sister ain't staying at home, I had to take over the housework chores, thankfully with the help of my younger sister. Maybe it's the lack of interest that often pull me down, despite my effort to do it well. I really mean to help, but I'm just so absent-minded, I wonder where I left my brain =(... Anyway, I still believe I can survive if I were to live alone!
I trully hope I can add colors to my life. So, right now, I am painting with...music! Well, still in the process of turning the 'noise' to 'sound', and hopefully soon, changing 'sound' to 'music. Haha... Life becomes brighter when I have my guitar around (though my family members will pull their faces... you know, 'noise'). The guitar classes does me a lot well, after teo years of hanging and being stuck in the easiest two chords, I finally have some process. *YIPPEE!* And I do enjoy going for classes (though my performance ain't good...). =)
another aspiration is, to do social work. I wish a lot to join a welfare group, where I can reach out to the less fortunate society, and help save the earth. Hopefully in some time from now, when I have the ability (materialistically), I will be on this path.
In some ways, I am actually more lucky than some of my friends. At least I have the chance to watch some concerts and attend some music events.
Well, people must observe and appreciate their lives, and the people around them, only then do they not miss out the most wonderful things.
Look around, you will find that, life ain't so miserable after all.
May you be well and happy.
P/S: I begin this post with a heavy heart. Upon finishing it, I feel a bit better. I don't know what's waiting for me tomorrow, but let's look back at today, see what we've gained in this 24 hours, and aspire to do the better for tomorrow.
In the end, the title of this post can consider be changed to "My life...miserable...NOT"!
I appreciate the people around me.
And, I appreciate your patience in reading my post. May you be well and happy.
Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu!

Summer 8 Degrees Concert 2006!
The long-waited Concert of the year!!!
This year's was far more better than last year's! It was on August 12, 2006... exam time, but I still made out some time for it! Haha! The best thing is, there are so much more great artists from Taiwan, besides the talentful local singers!
Among my favourites are Lim Yee Chung (of course!), JJ Lin, Gary Chaw, Nicholas Teo, Energy, Rainie Yang, Daniel Lee, and John.
Yee Chung was the second to perform. He sang [Gong Ti Bei] and [Kao An]. I enjoyed his performance a lot, it was great to see him again. And hey, looks like he is getting more 'sexy'! Well, these days we often see him in tight shirts! Ahahaha!!
Well, even though, whether is my problem, I find that his singing wasn't as good. Was he sick, or was it the speaker's problem? He seemed to be having a hard time controlling his voice. Anyway, hope he gets well soon (if he was really sick).
Energy's moves really got us high! Though I felt that it wasn't as energetic as the performances I've seen before, but they were really great! Rap, ballad, dances... All are done almost perfectly.
Ooh.. and JJ Lin! I am suddenly so crazy of him! Haha! Ever since his concert, I've been enjoying his songs and album even more. I really do admire his talent. Seeing him again was so much fun! Miss his cheeky face...haha!
One special performer was the artist from Korea, Jang Na Ra!!! She was such a sweet girl, and she can actually speak Chinese quite fluently! She can dance and sing and act in dramas and movies! Wow... That's sure an established celebrity!
Despite all these, I'm quite disappointed about one thing. That the Taiwanese group 5566, was the last performer (that means most important?!). It is a fact that they have the most fans over there, but indeed, their performance wasn't nice at all, to me, the standard is even lower than the new singers like Superstar Finalists. It seemed to 'spoil it all'. But then, majority wins. We (or I) can do nothing about it.
Throw away all the blunt stuff, it was a perfect night! (Okay, nothing is perfect, I know). I'm looking forward to next year's concert. Wondering where it will be, and most importantly, WHO will be invited!!

Yey! Helo Holidays!
Whew! The final examination is finally over.
It was not too tough, for half the subjects. For Algebra & Trigonometry, my most confident subject, was quite a surprise to me when I found some questions which I have never seen before, and the lecturer never taught before. To maintain standard, they say.
Physics, the most worrying one. And I AM still worried. I have to, and hopefully, I pass the required mark.
And now--HOLIDAYS! Yeah yeah! I started my holidays since Wednesday, having a time of my life (well, not really.). Anyway, I still gotta clear the huge stack of newspaper there, which is definitely driving me crazy. And later, though should be starting already, I have to be a PART-TIME NON-SALARY TUTOR for my beloved sister, as she's gonna sit for a government examination soon.
Whew! Seems like a lot to do in this period of less than two weeks. I guess I have to put aside quite a lot of things which I have planned to do. Hmm.. I haven't really read my first 'cook-book'--actually, I bought it because of the author--Ken Chu. Aha! Now you know me!
Still hope to meet up with my secondary school friends. Hopefully there's something fresh coming up.

YES!! Mission Acomplished!
Finally I watched the movie. I mean 2 weeks ago.
On July 30, SW and I went to Times Square for my favourite and long-waited movie. I really have to thank her for accompanying me and rushing over there despite the rain. THANK YOU!! MUAXXX!!!
The movie was, of course, very good! The hilarity started from the beginning and throughout the show. Though there was a no-ending (well, there's gonna be part 3..!), it was a truly enjoyable one. I wonder how Jack is gonna and defend and escape...
It was a pity that L Eng couldn't join us. Nevermind dear, hopefully we can meet and watch Part 3... successfully!
Can't wait for PART 3!!!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)
Captain Jack Sparrow is caught up in another tangled web of supernatural intrigue. Although the curse of the Black Pearl has been lifted, an even more terrifying threat looms over its captain and scurvy crew: it turns out that Jack owes a blood debt to the legendary Davy Jones, Ruler of the Ocean Depths, who captains the ghostly Flying Dutchman, which no other ship can match in speed and stealth. Unless the ever-crafty Jack figures a cunning way out of this Faustian pact, he will be cursed to an afterlife of eternal servitude and damnation in the service of Jones. This startling development interrupts the wedding plans of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, who once again find themselves thrust into Jack's misadventures, leading to escalating confrontations with sea monsters, very unfriendly islanders, flamboyant soothsayer Tia Dalma and even the mysterious appearance of Will's long-lost father, Bootstrap Bill. Meanwhile, ruthless pirate hunter Lord Cutler Beckett of the East India Trading Company sets his sights on retrieving the fabled "Dead Man's Chest." According to legend, whoever possesses the Dead Man's Chest gains control of Davy Jones, and Beckett intends to use this awesome power to destroy every last Pirate of the Caribbean once and for all. For times are changing on the high seas, with businessmen and bureaucrats becoming the true pirates--and freewheeling, fun-loving buccaneers like Jack and his crew threatened with extinction.

What is up with me??!
Somehow, I don't seem to have much luck these few weeks.
Two weeks ago, I sprained my left foot.
Today, i hurt my right foot!
Oh gosh... This happened when I was having my nap in the afternoon. I don't know how or why I woke up in between, maybe because of the mosquito which was happily feeding on me.
I too have no idea why I wanted to stand up that time, with my cramped leg. when I wanted to stand up, I hit my foot too hard, and it hurt!! OOOHH!!
And because of the mosquito, I could't sleep much later on. Damn the mosquito!
So I am back to my "penguin-walking" days again. Really really hope that it will get well soon.

Condolences
My greatest Condolences to Ken Chu and his family.
Ken's father, Chu Yue Ming, passed away on July 11, 2006, because of liver cancer (as I have heard).
Ken was in deep grief. Despite this, he continued his work in Xinjiang, China, where he was filming a drama, <>.
He wasn't able to go back to Taiwan so soon, as his absence would affect to filming of the drama. He will return for the Funeral at the end of the month.
Condolences to the Chu family.

Siti's marriage
A few years ago I've been wondering why Siti Nurhaliza was staying single despite her great looks and talent.
Now I hav e an answer. So, she's engaged to Dato' K, huh? Rumors have been spreading for some time, and they've finally confronted the press and the country about their relationship.
Sometimes I wonder, why do famous artists often get 'hooked up' with businessman? Is it really love, or other things like money and status, too contribute to this?
Well, though it's many females' dream to get married to a rich man, I'm not so sure if this is the same for Siti, whom I believe, has a fortune herself, being one of the most popular singers in this country. And there were stories...
Anyway, I still wish all the best to the couple. Congrates!

Sprained my ankle!!!
I really hope this would never happen to me. But it did, today.
I was happily and excitingly playing basketball with my high school friends at High school today, when this unfortunate accident happened.
It wasn't even 1 hour of playing, when once I passed over the ball to a teammate while running.
Suddenly my foot twisted! The immense pain shot up from my foot to my ankle then my whole leg. I couldn't stand it and so had to sit on the floor for a minute. I felt my foot burning like hell! Arghhhh!!!
I managed to get off the court to rest at a bench. did a little massaging to my foot, and found out that it was most painful on the left part. Maybe I had 'pulled' (hopefully not torn) my muscle there.
I thought I would observe for a while to see if I'll be okay in some time. But when I got up and walked for a few steps, the pain came again. In the end, I had to go to the PBSM room for some treatment.
SW helped me to massage my foot (she used to be one from PBSM). I want to thank her a lot, for me. Thanks to her as well as L Eng for giving me a hand (or two). I don't know how I should do without them around..hehe...
I didn't go to seek treatment at "Tie Da" as my dad said it was only muscle sprain, no 'bone-moving' after his checking. He did help me massage with the "Tie da" oil, which was so so painful! when I move around or walk, I have to slant my foot, only using the right part, and still, everything was painful.
I'm quite worried about the next few days. I wonder if I can climb up the 5 flight of stairs at sunday school tomorrow. I can't really skip class on Monday, as my schedule is packed for Mondays. Oh dear, now I realise the huge importance of my foot!I really do hope everything gets well by tomorrow.
I was happily and excitingly playing basketball with my high school friends at High school today, when this unfortunate accident happened.
It wasn't even 1 hour of playing, when once I passed over the ball to a teammate while running.

Just JJ
Woohoo! So exciting!
Last Friday, we finally got to know that we have tickets to JJ Lin's concert! It was at Genting Arena of Stars, on July 1 2006 at 8pm. It was cousin Heck who gave us a lift up there. Thousands of thanks to him! he brought along a female fren cum housemate of his, while my sis Jin brought her fren along. 6 all together. Quite a hard time squeezing in the car!
We have 4 seating tics and 2 free standing tics. My elder sis and I 'volunteered' to stand...heehee... We were standing quite far from the front rail, somewhere to the left of the stage. The view was not so satisfying.
The concert was so cool.. so hot! (huh? ...) In the beginning, the dancers came out to stage before the show started to give us a warm-up. They taught us some dance steps for a song [Jiu Shi Wo]. It was so so cool! SO glad that I know how to dance some steps (move actually...)
*And as a bonus, we saw a really cute dancer. He was standing on our side during the warm-up, but later during the concert we see less of him. anyway, he's really handsome, I guess he caught quite some attention from the audience, and I guess he was the one whom JJ said looked like Rain!*
To say the truth, I was there 'mainly' to see Yee Chung, who was the guest artist. I was afraid I would feel bored. But I was wrong. It was all high throughout the night. His dance moves were just more than impressing, showing his multi-talent on stage.
During the time of duet with another guest artist, Jin sha (Kim), JJ played the keyboard. On the huge screen, the camera was shooting him close-up, it was one of my favourite scene. TThe way he was singing and playing the keyboard at the same time. I really do admire talented guys!
when Yee Chung came out, I was so excited! Of course! JJ and YC had a chat, with JJ congratulating YC on his achievement. They had a 'PK' competition (which wasn't quite a comepetition), where YC played JJ's well-known songs with guitar, while JJ will sing YC's songs over his keyboard. They sang the songs [Zai Jian], [Jiang Nan], [Shi Lian Xue], [Shou Neng Sheng Qiao], and dueted a song which YC wrote the lyrics for JJ, [Liu Xing Zhu Jiao]. This was my favourite part of the show (other than YC's performance ;D), I was so much amazed and admire YC's guitar skills as well as JJ's on the keyboard. Great job boys!
Later Yee Chung presented [Kao An] and [Gong Ti Bei]. He was such a marvelous guy, even being very tired from his drama shooting, he still gave his best in this show. So sweet that he kept suppoting JJ!
*It was so cute when YC realised that his 'name' was in JJ's [Jiang Nan], he gestured to himself, and changed the lyrics of the last line to [zhu JJ cheng gong] (wish for JJ's success)! He was so supportive of JJ , and even changed his song's lyrics to [yi jian dao Lin Jun Jie] (seeing JJ lin) in his song [Gong Ti Bei]! and while singing [Kao An], some of the audience put up their unbrellas! SO ggod that they support YC!*
By the third quarter of the concert, I felt sleepy. I didn't quite have to energy to cheer , but just kept on enjoying the show. It was fortunate that JJ often came to our side of the stage, it was fun seeing a superstar close-up!
By the time the concert ended, I was feeling immense pain in my legs. But even though, I still tried to stay around to catch a glimpse of the cute dancer (but I failed to). we even thought of going to the hotel to try to catch up with JJ or Yee Chung. But we didn't anyway, didn't want to cause trouble for our cousin.
And so, that was the concert. I really did enjoy it, I miss it a lot, both JJ and Yee Chung. That leaves an amazing memory in my life. ALL da best, JJ!

Hmm...
Yesterday...
As usual I was going to the campus using LRT. When I came out of the Putra LRT station heading to for that of Start LRT, as I was walking (or rather rushing?!) down the staircase, I noticed a person walking up. I was wndering whether it was a male or a female. Well, I concluded that it was a guy. What caught my attention was, his face is quite smooth and fair. And not too long hair. With a bagpack and earphones.
"Wait a minute."
As I revised his appearance in mind, I thought, "Hey, that looks familiar... Daniel??!"
Yes, I meant Daniel Lee. Some of u might know that Daniel is quite a 'pretty boy'. And that guy, the shape of his face, his eyes (when he 'scanned' at me for a second), his appearance (dressing... cool), and his... height. Ohh, was it really Daniel?
I thought I would go back there to have a second peep. But no, I couldn't. I had to catch the LRT.
But reasoning out, I guess that couldn't be him, because he is a celebrity now, why take to LRT? And at this time of the morning (peak time)?
Yeah... and so, I concluded it was not him. Haha... Girls... really know how to dream.. even day-dream! But then, it was fun, added colour to my routine life.
Moreover, that was a 'pretty boy' too. Not so bad after all!

金曲最佳新人‧返馬辦慶功宴 林宇中直奔《原點》趕戲
updated:2006-06-11 17:53:43 MYT

FIFA World Cup Germany 2006
Ooooohh! The World Cup is here! and the world goes into the football frenzy-- or rather CRAZE again!
Not many would believe I would be following this kinda trend. well, it seems not as exciting as watching the Thomas Cup (badminton), but it is still a kind of entertainment for me though.
My first match (watching, of course), was Germany against Costa Rica. Germany team had a good start, scoring the first goal in the 6th minute. The match result was 4-2, with Germany in victory. It was quite enjoyable watching, because Germany was my team... haha... although I fell asleep even before half time (forgive me... I was tired... school day.. man).
Today I watched a delayed live of enhland (also my team) versus Paraguay. I was a little surprised at England team's performance... not too good. They won in the end at 1-0, but because of Own Goal 'contributed' by a Paraguay player.
Hope to be able to catch more of the matches.

Modem
My modem was struck by lightning on May 25th (if I'm, not wrong). Then, it was one week that we couldn't surf the Net. Thanks to my sis.
It was fortunate that the lightning didn't strike our System Unit, or it would have cost us a lot. Even after 2 strikings! Whew...
The modem could not be repaired. The area for connection line is broken down (though the modem still can be turned on). We got a new, but different model modem, which I believe, is faster.
Thank goodness, now I can surf the Net again! I need it for my studies.
Now my family has learnt a lesson. *When I told them and practised to pull out the plugs during thunderstorms, they don't take a damn.*
Now everytime when there's lightning, they don't watch TV, and even pulled our every plugs for TV and PC. Haha! Now they know.

音樂會上“傳情” 王菀之向張敬軒示愛
updated:2006-06-05 17:42:48 MYT

A lesson
I was met with a BIG problem last two weeks. On May 25th. (maybe)
Our modem was struck by lightning! It was fortunate that it didn't strike our System Unit, that would have costed us a lot!
My sister was using the Computer when the incident occurred. I was lucky to get back home right before the thunderstorm started. I found my sis using the PC, but too bad, I didn't realise that the PC should not be used during thunderstorms. Well, If it were me, I would have closed the PC right away.
But she didn't. And even after the first thunder struck and our electric power was cut off, she kept the PC open. ANd goodness, a second one struck and cut off our power again. After that, my elder sis made her turn the PC off. But it was too late.
When I wanted to get online that night, the connection wasn't right. A few days later, after my dad sent it for repair, the problem was found out that the area for connection line was down.
Last Friday, we got a new modem. A different model. Somehow, the fixing task 'automatically' fell on me. Anyway, I thought it was fun...haha. But having some trouble, I finally got everything done at night.
Weeeee! Can surf the Net again!

Obstacles
Few weeks ago, I was very excited about it.
Last 2 weeks, I was equally excited, but worry came.
And last week, I wasn't excited anymore. I was very down.
I had been waiting for that very day. The day I can go on stage to receive my prize from the school. The day I can see my friends again. The day I can see my teachers again.
However, very unfortunately, the day clashes with a test at U. I thought I would just skip class that day, if not for the test. I couldn't choose between the two, go for the ceremony, or the test. When I finally decided to give up attending the ceremony, I felt a sense of relief, but at the same time, very sad and disappointment.
Who should I blame? The lecturer, for 'misunderstanding' me, or the school, for delaying the ceremony (to Teachers' Day)? Haiz... I guess I can't blame anyone, It's something which we have to go through in life, we have to make many choices. The choice is up to myself. I can't have a cake and eat it.
Well, now that it's over, I don't feel so sad anymore. Still a bit of regret, but I let it go. Attachment only causes suffering. Hopefully I will meet my friends this week (as they are having holidays now). Hope to have a good time then!

What A Day...
Wow! A day of happiness and... 'sadness'. The sad thing is, my friends saw Lim Yee Chung in Central Market, possibly filming his drama. It was at about 1.45pm, when I was still in the LRT. Damn! Now I really missed him. It's funny, coz my friend just came from there to work in KLCC. Anyway, guess that I don't have the luck to meet him, yet, hopefully will. By the way, my friend said that he was in front of a shop, not sure of which one. They don't really know what he was doing there. Heehee...
Okay, the happy thing! I 'finally' met my DEAR friend on the LRT! When I knew she was travelling to her college in Central Market by LRT, I had hoped to be able to 'crash' into her on the LRT. Like the dramas. Haha! And now I really did! I was waiting at the door where I don't usually wait, and when the Train was stopping, I noticed her inside, and she did too! Wow... such a great surprise! Was so Glad to see her that I wanted to hug her! Haha.. but I didn't, coz I'm afraid to be summoned, or get beaten up by her BF (which she just told me). Didn't have a long chat, coz she was going off at KLCC, which is only about 3 stations away.
My 'working' days started today, and the first job is typing. Might be boring, but not so tough, and the lecturer was quite friendly.Hope it will be okay throughout the semester.
P/S: Yesterday can be considered an "unlucky" day, because on my way back home, I missed the Edu-Van, the Star LRT and Putra LRT. Geesh.
*Appreciate what you have and the people around you.*

Stefanie Sun's Concert
Date: May 6, 2006
Venue: Genting Arena of Stars
Time: 8.00pm
My sisters and mom went there with my cousin Heck. we waited for other cousins to join us. Was a bit surprised to find my little niece Candy tagging along. Haha! Such a lucky girl (she's seen Jolin Tsai live before, and now Stefanie!)
The opening was quite interesting. She started with a soft and sweet song (just a few lines), then disappeared and came out with a fast note! It was very cool!
I didn't note down the songs that she sang, but it was all great performance. She had a wig on, that is, long hair, which made her look very beautiful and super! Her dressing were as colorful as usual, and her dance moves added excitement to the concert. In the end, during the encore, she came out with a "stick" (don't know how to name it), and played 'Mexican Wave' with the audience. Aha! That was the fun part.
We had such a great time, cheering and shouting and screaming, although she's not really in my favourite list, but I do like many songs of hers. My cousins too, turned really 'high' (though they are more than 10 years older than us!) Cousin Heck had the most memorable time. During a time when Stefanie came down the stage to shake hands with the fans, (I was unlucky...)he ran to the front very quickly and managed to hold Stefanie's hand with both his hands! Hahaha! He was really excited and kept repeating that he held her hand! With both hands! And didn't want to let go! Hehe... *I thought he would not be able to sleep that night, but he did anyway, before nay of us did! I suggested that he would not wash his hands anymore...haha... but he did anyway! hehe*
We left the arena after the encore, and so, unfortunately missed a solo presented by Stefanie herself after the concert. According to the paper, she came out in normal dress code to 'shoo' the remaining fans. In order to satisfy them, she sang a few line of 2 songs. Wow... the fans are definitely lucky!
Before the start of the concert, we heard and noticed a guy coming in from another gate (not in use). Heard people said it was John, the <> winner, and when I looked, I only saw his back with a bag, but it looked very like him! However, the paper mentioned that Daniel Lee was there for the concert, hmm... was that him instead? No idea...
---------------------------
To end the day (or rather night), we all went for supper at Desa Setapak. (Supper is very special to me... I haven't really had any for long! Haha!) The "great" thing was, I rained cats and dogs while we were eating. We were half wet by the time we reach home, let alone the 'drivers', Cousin Heck and Cousin Boon. Except for Cousin Boon and his little family, the other cousins stayed at our house for the night.
Though we are quite disappointed by the fact that David Tao's concert has been postponed to October, this one is very satisfying... for the moment. Happieee...

1st week at school
So I finally settled down. I'm currently studying at University College Sedaya International. 1st day of school was on 2nd May 2006.
Gotta say, it's reali boring to be here all alone. With no friends at all joining here with me, I feel really miserable.
I thought I could cope with the 'presure' of loneliness, but as days go by, I started to feel fed-up and tired of this life. Travelling for 2 hour (without sitting for at least an hour) everyday, then walking in the campus like an alien, without friends... Haiz...
As the weekend passed, I feel very down whenever I think of school. For the 1st week, not much class was conducted, the most important thing is ATTENDANCE. Pooh! Some lecturers even think of taking about 20 minutes to do the attendance!
Not that I haven't acquanted anyone at all. On the 2nd day I met a girl who is a senior; she's one year older than me, and she offered me many tips around the campus, and accompanied me. That's my 1st friend here, Angie. In physics class, I acquanted Kar Mun, who is also a scholar, but her scholarship is from UCSI.
On Friday, I met with a problem of 'time-clashing' of subjects. The Lab time for Physics clashes with Malaysian Studies, so we have to choose. Finally settled it today, where the Lab time will be on Thursday. However, My Course Selection hasn't been approved yet. That means my name won't be on the attendace list yet.
Now is the free time, waiting for a class at 3.30pm. It's a cool thing there's a computer lab here, where we can get online.
Won't be tooooo bored after all. Hopefully.

My Future Path
I attended an interview session on 22nd April at Sin Chew office for Sin Chew Scholarship. I waited for more than 2 hours before my turn, because the interview was about half an hour for one person, and finally, my turn! I was interviewed by another person, it went out quite smoothly, though I was the usual nervous lad.
After that, the next few days was to consider whether to take up this course. I applied for Electrical and Electronic Engineering in University College Sedaya International (UCSI). Why consider it even before getting a reply? That's because I have only about 1 day to consider it if I ever get the scholarship. I was to start attending the orientation on 26th April. Besides this, I am waiting for a reply from Matriculation, which I have tried to appeal, and there's also Form 6 as an option.
By luck, I was offered the scholarship! After all the consideration and worries and everything, I decided to accept the offer. Part of the reason is that since I have a chance to do a course I am interested in, it is a good chance for me, whereas if I take up STPM, I may not have a course I desire in local university. ANd in fact, I am so so afraid of STPM, which is more academic and self-study, and the standard is way up higher than that of SPM. As for matriculation, I doubt that I have any chance of getting it, moreover, it is better to do a course in English rather than in Malay.
Though I met with some problems these two days, and I'm quite anxious about my classes which will start next week, I feel that it will turn out okay in some time. One tough thing: I have to face with the reality that a larger percentage of the students are male, and in fact, I may be the only girl in class! Wow! Makes me sweat even thinking of it. No way turning back, I'll have to cope with it, though now I may be very scared, I still don't know the real situation by then. Let's just hope for the best. I still have my best friends back here to support me!
Good luck to myself and also my friends out there!

Yee Chung: A warmth in the heart
Though it seems quite true and 'mystical' that Lim Yee Chung brings rain to everywhere he goes (it started raining heavily since he came back to Malaysia about 1 week ago) since his name rhymes with "getting wet in the rain", it always feels very warming when I see him or hear his voice and listen to his songs. There has to be something that makes him a darling to Asian fans!
Yee Chung is back in Malaysia since last week for his album promotion sponsored by DiGi. Last night (April 15) was his music showcase at Dewan Wawasan, PGRM. It started raining about one hour plus before the event at 8pm. Upon arrival, there were long queues of fans waiting outside the hall. We got our tickets from the MY Fm Counter, bought 3 albums (with free DiGi packs), and did some registration. *My cousin even bought a reload card just to get a poster! Lots of thanks to him!* At around 7.40pm we(VIP ticket holders) were let into the hall to the right side for My Fm winners. Then, it was waiting again. Yee Chung, who was stuck in the rain and traffic jam, was late for more than 45 minutes. But the moment he appeared on the large screens showing him in the backstage, the audience turned crazy! he apologised for being late while doing a bit of last-minute make-up. Minutes later, he appeared from the main entrance, singing [Xia Ban Bei Zi] which he wrote for Jordan Chan. He walked through the crowd and up the mini-stage, and later proceeded to the main stage in front. He said that he started the special event with this song because this was the first song that introduced him to the entertainment circle. On stage, he interacted with the MC Phoebe and even responded to the fans.
Other songs that he sang were [Bu Da Yang De Dian] and [Shi Lian Xue]. While singing [Gong Ti Bei], he came down the stage and shook hands with the fans. No one wanted to miss this chance, and of course rushed up to him to hold his hand! *HaPpIe!* Then, he proceeded to the mini-stage.
On the mini-stage near the middle of the hall (specially set up for this showcase), He sat in the black sofa with Phoebe in the so-called 'his room'. Phoebe acted as a girl who really admired him, challenged him with many 'affectional' questions. she even said that because of this, Yee Chung didn't dare to look her in the eye! Haha! The important thing is, she concluded that Yee chung is a good man, and that if we girls want to get a boyfriend, he should be like Yee Chung! * And that's for sure! Heehee!* (And I guess his face turned red! haha!) This was followed by him playing the guitar unplugged while singing the songs [Ni Hen Hao]*Ah Du*, [Ye Ku Guo]*Tao Zi*, [Xia Xue]*Ah Du* (all composed by him), and an English song he loves [If]. All the songs were delivered nicely, and the audience replied with rounds and rounds of applause.
He went back to the main stage again, and delivered his 'last' song [Zai Jian]. Such a touching song... my current favourite! He 'left' for the backstage. as expected, the corwd roared Encore, led by Phoebe, and shouted for him. Then we saw him on the screen again (and I really like to watch these because he looked so cute that way... and very sincere!). and Then, he appeared on stage again, giving an encore song of his hit single, [Kao An]. He came down the stage again, and we rushed up to him again. *very normal scene during artists' showcases, but very exciting!* Luckily, I got to shake his hand again! Twice! (crazy ya...) And that was the end of the music show.
I felt sad that that was the end, but up next was the autograph session. Thank goodness we have 3 copies of the album (so that all 3 sisters can get on stage). It wasn't quite a long queue, and that's benefit, because we got to stay on stage longer and there was no need to be shooed by the staff (as it happened in Vic's showcase). He signed the album whole-heartedly, looked at us and thanked us with a smile. I managed to 'slip' in a sentence "hao hao xiu xi o" (hope you will take a good rest), and he replied "xie xie! xie xie!", so nice, so sweet!
In the end, he thanked us again, let the fans take some photos, and shook hands again. I was in luck again because my place was quite 'strategic', but later I was pushed and almost lost my balance! (Thank god I didn't 'pok kai'.. hehe! But if I did, would Yee Chung save me? Haha! Dream on!) And finally, he left.
I'm reali touched by the way he treats his fans, and his devotion to his fans. This was the best ever autograph session I've attended! and he is the most friendly artist I met! *Gosh! I'm melting!* I wish all the best to him.

I miss my class
It's been more than 4 months... I really miss my classmates. I am so sad and disappointed that no one (except for a few) visits our forum, our main site for 'meeting', whatsoever...
Dear classmates, please come back. Come into the webpage, it's the only thing that tie us together now.

The Graduation day...

At the Crossroads...
I am at a crossroad, but not knowing my destination, I don't know which way to go.
A few weeks earlier, it was the time to apply for scholarships. And yesterday, I went for an interview at Alif Creative Academy for the architecture course. It went on quite okay, I tried to be calm and natural, but then for some of their challenging questions, I feel that my response wasn't so good. after the interview, I was required to do a sketch on 2 pieces of paper, without eraser. That was tough, and it took me quite some time.
Although really hoping to get the scholarship, I am getting doubtful of whether I can proceed my Bachelor degree. I thought I would be able to cope with the fees by getting loan, however, I was mistaken that the sum of money required to do a degree for architecture overseas was for only a year, and NOT the whole course. WOW! I will have to spend at least 3 time (for 3 years)! Now, I really don't know what to choose. Should I join the college with the scholarship to pursue my dream, or should I just get a more secured course like accountancy? My dream really cost a lot... and yet I really don't know if it's considered a dream. I am SO messed up!
Am I thinking too much? Why do I not have an ambition, something I really want? should I just follow my parents' suggestion? I am getting really tired... tired of thinking, what do I expect in the future? Even more worries? haiz...what does the future stand for me?

MY DAY!!!
Hey hey! It's my day! It's my birthday TODAY! Hmm... dunno why I'm really excited about my birthday this year, maybe it's because I finished a major exam and is 'allowed' to enjoy this year! haha!
I got my first wishes from my best friend, Lee Eng, who called me even before 12 am. she helped me get info on the courses I'm thinking of applying for my scholarship. Thanks a lot to her. We chatted over the phone for 3 hours and 40 minutes! NEW RECORD! So my birthday started off with chatting over the phone...1st time in history.
I woke up quite late this morning. But it seems it's just another boring day. I do hope people remember it. But like any other year, even my family members don't really realise. hehe... ok then, i still keep myself happy! CHEERS!
Up till now, no celebration planned. hah. Got an early 'birthday gift', that is I got tickets to attend Lim Yee Chung's showcase! Yay!
another special event on this very day is, the first day of F4 Forever 4 Concert which will be held in Hong Kong during March 22-25. And, of course, I left a message (dunno whether he will get it) for Ken, wishing him good luck.
Hello Ken!
It's a sunny day to day in Malaysia, unlike the few days before. It seems a normal and usual day like any other day, but I feel an extraordinary happiness in my heart. I cant help smiling, thinking about this day. Yes, It's the day of the long-wited F4 Forever 4 Concert! And it is also my birthday today!
Unfortunately I have no chance of watching the concert live in Hong Kong. However, I still want to share my best wishes with you and the other F3 and may you be blessed to succeed this concert. Although I don't know what 'mysterious' performance you will be presenting, I am sure you will try your best in delivering you message, and it is going to be an enjoyable one!
May the Buddha be with you and F4 always!
Smile Always (your smile will brighten up the whole world)!!!
regards,
Kyflein
I wish the day is the happiest for everyone else too! SADHU SADHU SADHU!

This week...
A week ... not too busy... but quite exciting!
Monday, was the most exciting of course, as i mentioned earlier. The result day, the reunion. And got calls on and off from relatives and friends. =D
Tuesday, nothing much.
Wednesday. I have been trying to call in My FM for the F4 Forever 4 Concert Contest ince last week. This day, I finally got through the line. But then, I was told by the DJ that I was the 1st caller through, while they were looking for the 4th caller. But I doubt if it was true. To say the truth, I didn't follow the regulations to say the name of the contest and blablabla as I was REALLY nervous and very SHOCKED the time the phone was answered. Maybe because of that and that my phrase wasn't good enough, I lost my chance. Disappointment started coming, I still regret for my performance which was bad. The more hope, the more disappointment... My dear F4...once again I missed the chance to seeing you live...
Thursday was a very nice day. The night before, I got invited by Kazeendra to go 'wet' at Karaoke. It was a tough time getting my parents consent (as it was late). We went to Neway at Times Square... my first time "cheong K" with my friends. There were 4 of us, others include Shuwen and W Wei. They were to go to National Service soon. It was such fun, singing and screaming and shouting like anything, no need to care about the quality of the voice. After that, we went to the food court where we had a drink and some food. Then it was window shopping for us, while accompanying Kazeendra to look for an item she wanted to buy. There was a dancing competition there, which we peeped in for a while. It started raining at about 4 something, which was trouble for me to go home. Finally, we went inside again and had a drink and chat. I didn't know what time the rain stopped, but by the time I reached home, it was 7.30pm. Wow... definitely no next time!
Friday night, our fanily was invited for dinner at Klang. later we went to a club for Karaoke...again. Not as 'modern' as Neway though...haha!
Saturday, my elder sis and I along with my dad went to the Open day at TAR College. We are still very indecisive of what course to choose. As for me, I'm still not sure whether I should continue my studies in Form 6 or just enter collge and take diploma in computer science, since I find some interest in that. haiz... really 'breath-taking' thinking about that.
Today, was just another sunday, after our sunday school, my parents gave us a treat at Pizza hut to celebrate our results. Finally I can sink my teeth into the amazing Atlantis pizza1

The Thank-You's
Gettng such a result is considered an achievement to me. Without the help of many people around me, I don't think I would be able to get here. I now dedicate my thank-yous to everyone who's been giving what I needed.
First of all, to my teachers, who have been giving their best (mostly) to prepare us for the exam. Thanks for the effort to educate us, and your advice to guide us.
To my classmates and friends, thanks for encouraging me, and striving with me throughout the year. Your company had helped me through moments of up and down.
To my beloved parents, thank you very much for all that you have done. Dad, your role as my 'tutor' had definitely helped me a lot, and your words of wisdom and comfort had always brought the collapsing soul in me up. Mom, your effort too, had ease my days of striving, it will never be forgotten. Love you both.
My sisters had been by my side always. My 'Jie Jie' who was also sitting for STPM, gave me tips to tackle the questions. My little sis had been cheering me up, and helping me in doing housework. A big Thank you to both of you!
To my relatives, who have high expectations for us 3 sisters, thanks to you too. Your expectations have given me pressure (which I don't like), but it acted as stimulation for me to work harder.
To the examiners and the Ministry of Education (haha!), Thanks for checking my papers! And despite my silly mistakes (those that I know of), you have let me through. Thanks again.
To everyone else whom I have carelessly left out, thank you all a lot for your regards and support. Without all of you, I don't know what would have become of me.
THANK YOU again! AND CONGRATULATIONS to my friends and fellow candidates for their achievement. All the best to you!

The Day of Judgement!
March 13, 2006.
The Day of Judgement.
The Day of Reunion as well.
It was the day I have been very anxious about. It's when my life iwas going to change forever. A week back, we were confirmed that we were to get our SPM results the very day. And I strated getting very down the few days before that. I was really very nervous and afraid to face the day. Didn't know what to expect. Didn't dare to hope.
The morning of the day, I spilled my drink. The night before, I got some cuts on my finger and leg. I thought, oh my god, what does this mean? Is it because of something going to happen? oh god...
I arrived in school at around 10.25am, finding some people had taken their results. I was really scared even to look at my teacher and friends. Worse off, I found my friend Wei had a B on her result slip. Her grades were higher than me in class, and now... what should I expect? I still didn't dare to sit on that 'special' chair yet. I kept on waiting for my friend Eng and get the result together. As I gradually getting ready to face the truth, I heard my teacher Cik Azma talking to Choon Lin, and I thought I overheard my name. WHAT?? What about me? Then I heard "...best student..." ??? Was blur, was scared. Now I got more anxious.
Finally, around 11am, my dear Lee Eng arrived. I got my result first. Had to sign on some papers (certificates), while Cik Azma looked at my result. Heart beating so fast! SHe said, "BM, Sejarah, BC..." I forgot what she said in the end, as I quickly peeped over to see my result. OH MY GOODNESS! I got all A's!!! SOOOOO HAPPY! AND RELIEVED! though it wasn't all A1s, I guess I'm quite satisfied with this, since I had been so afraid that a "round-headed fugure" will be present (B). *"A" is sharp-headed*
While Lee Eng sat down to get her slip, I couldn't wait to send a message to my dad. I guess he has been waiting (unless he was too busy to bother about it) for my news. A few minutes later, he called to congratulate me. LAter, my mom, my sisters and even my youngest aunty, and a cousin called me. Thank you all. So did my classmates, and even some other friends from other class. Thank you guys.
After that, I went to yam char with Ley. Lee Eng was to join us at first, but her dad had to pick her up earlier coz he was busy. So the two of us went to Kang Cheng Teahouse for lunch. Beleive me, the teahouse was packed! So we had to wait at the TV corner. It seemed funny, just the two of us, but then, Ley was cute and funny, so I was quite 'entertained' by her! Haha! Both of us ordered a 'Baked Portuguese Chicken Rice', which tasted quite good, not spicy (Ley didn't like spicy food). Halfway through eating, we were joined by a group of 4 boys from our class. Somehow, they had more plans, and just came over after hanging out at the Cybercafe. We joined their table later, and left soon. Called it a day.
Back home, I was of course happier than when I left the same morning. Cheers.
