X'mas @ Singapore

It's so seldom that we celebrate the festival... and now, a package of Christmas plus Wedding at Singapore and JB and even Skudai, from the Christmas' Eve til Rynn Lim's Birthday Eve~ :P

A whole lots of thank-yous to the beloved cousins SC and SK for lending us a roof for 3 nights, and the treats and presents!! (Yea! We never really got X'mas gifts..)

For the Eve, we went had our dinner at The Mushroom Pot... just right for us coz we are mushroom lovers!!

The restaurant is so nice, they provide tissue packet :P

We went for a walk down Orchard Road for seeing the recommended the Christmas decoration. It's a pity it was slightly raining then, a wet and cold X'mas eve indeed~
Photobucket
Check out the crowd on the streets..
Photobucket

In one of the shopping centers (there are just too many centers there), there was this X'mas tree made up of teddy bears!
Photobucket
Just too cute aren't they? :)
Photobucket
This seemed to be the mascot of the festival~

Merry Christmas!
Photobucket

Christmas Day was especially tiring... tired with waiting and queuing~
It's a good thing we had SC to guide us :D
And it was good to travel with public transport there.
Photobucket

Visited the Esplanade a.k.a. Durian a.k.a. Housefly~~

Went to Sentosa later, which was packed with people. However marvelous it was, we didn't really enjoy it that much coz of the crowd and the expensive tickets.
We did go for the Dolphin Lagoon and Underwater World though, not too bad...

친고야~

FINALLY got to meet up with KM!!
I'm glad the two years of non-contact and non-meeting didn't make us strangers... fact we had a lot to talk about! Sitting at KFC for half the day, the longest time ever~ Haha... and just so glad to meet someone who is so connected~~

It's a pity I often cannot join her for activities.

Anyway, KM, thanks for lending an ear :)

Balik Kampung

Have been longing for this trip after the one month of activities indoors...

Photobucket

Returning to (my parents') hometown this time seemed a lot burden~ We find that our stomaches have grown smaller! Haha.. Loved all the good food, but the nearly non-stop eating was actually terrible!!

Got to finally cross the border to Thailand!! The first and previous time I was there was around 17 years ago! :D
On the way there, we 'discovered' that there's actually a place like this...

Photobucket

Welcomed :P
Photobucket

It was raining quite a while that day.

Photobucket

But I'd say, the cool air was pleasing.

Photobucket

And ommo~~ there were the HUGE Doraemons I wanttt!!!
But which costed a lot... sobsss~

Shopping at the other side of the border for clothes doesn't seem to worth it, as the price is somewhat near that of S.W. ... Probably it's the standard steel kitchenware which were cheaper compared to here (but price hike too).

Anyway, loved the trip, and the Thai cuisine! =)

Let's Eat Music Festival!

Time comes for the Rain God's action!
Finally Rynn returned for his album promotion after the months...
And though I didn't get to watch the PWH Awards ceremony live (anyway, the fact that my crazy slogan won me the tickets thrilled me!) I still get to attend two of the events (which I should be contented with)!!

~Let's Eat Music Festival~!!
Nov 21, 2008 9.00 pm
Thanks to Tiff for the ride and even fetching YZ!
Arrived late at the event because of attending a talk at UM, we didn't get our seats reserved, and only get to watch from the side.
The performance was high and with live band!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Highlighted with Sheila Majid (yes, the most beautiful mother... he said)!
There was this security guard who even pretended to be on duty by the stage (and blocking us!! >.< ) yet he was actually there to watch her performance! Arghhh...

Photobucket

And after hugging with Rynn each time, she really loves to utter the same few words : "Don't be JEALOUS!!" Ahh alright~

And of course, Cheng Lee!
He wasn't prepared yet ushered on stage that he even reminded us that he wasn't wearing make-up (yet he looks all the same~) :P

Photobucket

An autograph session after that, and finally I got our CD signed :)

6 things I'm passionate about
1. Music
I've often thought I should have started learning playing piano when I was younger then, a reason why I picked up guitar, which is faster to get me to the goal of composing. Though I still hope some day I would put my hands on the keyboard when I can afford to.

2. Nature
Never have I thought I would love it so much until when I stayed within the jungles of Kinabatangan! How lovely the experience was, that I even think I would migrate to the country side for life~ Haha... Again, wait til I have enough cash to support myself.

3. Architecture
Far away from this huge ambition of mine since young, I still like to see the arts of buildings, especially old buildings. And I would peep at the works of the architecture students whenever I pass by the school office or their classrooms. And I wonder if I should have picked civil engineering instead of E&E?? Haha... An ambition, A dream.

4. Charity
Nothing big for the moment, I just wish I will join the World Vision or the type and sonsor the poor children.

5. Pets, and...
No, I have no pets. I just so wish I could have a puppy to run around the garden, or even a huskie to chase away the cats which just love to s*** at our garden. But somehow, to keep myself and even my sisters company, I love to puppet my stuffed toys around (heh.. very kiddy I know) :P

6. Family
The people I have spent my life the longest with. I can't imagine how I'm gonna live if (or when) I move out then...

6 books I read recently
Nothing much other than E&T mags, which I can't even finish one full copy.
Oh, and the thick thick thick textbooks of the past and future lectures. >.<

6 songs/albums :P I can listen to over and over again
1. Mirotic by TVXQ (album)
The latest and hottest! Especially the songs [넌 나의 노래](You're My Melody) and [노을... 바라보다](Afterglow).

2. My Space by Tanya Chai (album)
Admire her for her compositions. I love her songs which are mostly accompanied by guitar tunes.

3. Holding Back the Tears by TVXQ
The OST of their drama Vacation, the song is composed by Micky Yoochun, a fave for my practising of guitar.

4. [干物世界](Homely Life) by Rynn Lim
Recently PWH award-winning album is definitely up to standard! Love the concept of the album, and as his music is major in guitar, the songs truly suits my taste.

5. [사랑해도 될까요](May I Love You) by Yuri Sangja
One of the best ballads I have ever heard. The melody melts my heart...

6. [どうして君を好きになってしまったんだろう?](Why Have I Fallen in Love with You?) by TohoshinkiOne of my favorite hits, my favourite tunes, my ringtone, my life... ehemm..haha~~
Honestly it doesn't really sound like a sad song, but the lyrics are heart-breaking...

6 things I learnt this past year:
1. Aim high, but not too high; do what you can.
2. I need to be more optimistic.
3. Believe what you see or hear, even if they deny it.
4. Be yourself.
5. Attachment can crave is really suffering...
6. I must get back to my Dhamma books.

6 valuable things I own:
1. My guitar ~ the friend who has accompanied me for 4 years plus now...

2. My mobile phone ~ which is also my watch, my alarm clock, my MP3 player, my camera. :D

3. My stuffed 'friends' ~ Righty (Chinese-born American), Santa (why did he appear at our place without presents~), Doraemon (he passed away long time ago), and the bunny (I don't know what happened to it..) **I'm not crazy**

4. My backpack ~ almost everything I might need in a day is in it, stationery, books, umbrella, emergency food (!), medicine... hoooo~~

5. My IC ~ so that I know who I am... (or do I??)

6. My family ~ they know who I am...

6 bloggers I tag:
1. Tiff
2. Jens
3. Pui Ling
4. Isabelle
5. Soursand
6. ~you~

It's my first time responding to a tag, so feel free to do it~ :P

FOURTH

Photobucket
Nissan 新车?:P
Photobucket
UCSI大学代表们...

高兴的是,我终于买了MIROTIC啦!!哈。。有史以来卖得最贵的专辑~ 荷包流血了。。
Photobucket
我爱啊~!!

最近真得很闷,家里似乎只住这两个半的人,老姐考试少回家,妹更不得了,考SPM。还真为她担心。。
加油哦,两位!

열심이!

Only upon flipping the papers do I realise how much I've been lagging in the Chinese music circle.
JJ's new song I haven't heard. LeeHom's new album coming up? Critics against Jay's new hits?
Haha... I really don't know. Do correct me :P

Why?
Coz I'm so fed up with the noisy old radio in the room...
And therefore/coz all these while I've been induced in Korean music!
Especially the curse of TVXQ! *Ahaha... you have guess so? =)*
Though I still am not able to sing fully a single song of theirs...boo~

Should get serious now, to make use of the holiday for all those that I only thought-of-doing-yet-never-get-done things like the re-revision of analogue theories and the guitaring. And seriously, I must get to speak some Korean!!

열김이 하겠습니다! =)
Gambateh! (Next up would be Japanese language :P)

Cameron Highlands

After plans called on and off, I finally made it to Cameron Highlands for a vacation. It's a long time since I was here, the last time being when I was 2 (the unforgetable scar on my forehead~).

The gang
Henry, Dick, HH, Jek, TS, Emily, Suhweai and I.
Having no gurl company with me, I was quite anxious in meeting the two gurls whom I do not know. But needless of the worry, they were nice people to get along with.

Thanks to Dick sponsoring his family apartment at Tanah Rata. =)

Having no transport around the area, we had to take the cab... which is rather welcoming, coz we had Mercedez!
Photobucket

And a large sacrifice for it.
Photobucket
=D

Let’s not talk about the traffic jam and the smoke from the diesel fuel that blacked the faces of those in the Wira behind…haha~ (Somehow, Cameron taxis have a habit of not using the A/C in the cars).

Whereabouts
The second day we had a tour to some farms at the highlands... which wasn't really the theme of the vacation.. eheh~
Photobucket

Cameron was a place full of plantations, can be said close to nature. But honestly, I prefer Sukau to this, for Sukau was closer to the nature and wildlife.
Photobucket

This reminds me of my garden a year ago which was filled with lots of lavenders. They are just so nice.
Photobucket

The mouth-watering capsicum!
Photobucket

Other than that, six of us even went for a jog on the second morning.
Photobucket
The cool weather was just nice :)

Eat, eat and eat..
A nice Cameron style steamboat with lots of vegetables...
Photobucket

Right after that the night market.
The gang was so excited about the BBQ party the next day that they couldn't resist buying so much stuff for it. Of course, the trip was stomach-filling, the food was great! I do miss the chocolate-coated strawberry! :P

Photobucket

The supper continued back at the apartment.
Photobucket

The strawberry ice-stick feast!
Photobucket

And the theme... the BBQ Party!
Our instructors, Emily and Henry!
Photobucket Photobucket
Photobucket Photobucket
Photobucket Photobucket
Photobucket

Breakfast Chef, Henry!
We had fried mee-hun and sandwich! Honestly I never knew Henry could cook.. well!**Salutes to Henry!!**
Photobucket Photobucket
Photobucket

Overall, the trip was fun. Except that I didn't expect it to be higher budget (yikes~ so paiseh~), the need of transport around the highlands, and the peak season traffic jam, it should be a good-enough vacation.
Hope for the next one with these buddies.

Mixed

After the many years, I still find my passion in the art of architecture. And often do I feel the pity for not walking that path.
Sometimes, there are things that we can’t help with. Sometimes we tend to make a good choice, but it does not necessary be the right choice for us. Sometimes, and often, we have to forfeit one for the other, and we would be blamed for not going for the latter.

Being an indecisive person, I often take a long time to boil over my considerations and choice over and over again. I don’t know why, but there’s just so much I have to go through before making my decision. It’s probably because of the environment that shapes my mind in this way. I am confused, I am bored, I am tired of the way I am. But probably it’s what that makes me today, whether it’s the OK me or KO me. I try to make myself more efficient, I do try. I try to fit myself into the different environments, which doesn’t always work.

I try to understand myself, but I find it getting me more confusing.
So don’t you think that you understand me.

Well said that, the happiest person doesn’t necessary have the best of everything. He just makes the best of everything.
That’s the guide I should live by.

End | Beginning

Year 2 is officially over after the felt-like-being-fooled final exam paper on Tuesday, and the very very short semester ending with the Numerical Analysis paper yesterday, which I thought was the best paper I did in this year (frankly because I did badly in others). I am rather disappointed why we did not get to evaluate the lecturers, one for the good work and the other for the misery she put in us. I just hope it won't happen again. And not to forget, the fall from the staircase.. hah~

The celebration continued with a karaoke marathon (and the first time I feel tired before the session ended :P )with all the boys! And they ROCK!! Haha... And I do need to improve my singing.. =D

The end of the semester and the beginning of the holiday! Yay! But holiday this year had better be more wisely spent than last year's... I doubt the dream to work at KMT will not be true anymore, disappointingly. Still, lots of work and wanna-dos and re-revisions and decisions to be done. I wonder if I can ever finish half...

For now, anticipating much about the trip to Cameron! Though I'm anxious about how it would turn out to be... don't wanna bring the alien me up there~ But ooo... it's been a long time since my last vacation!! Haha...

tumble

What I have often expected to happen, when there were a few times it nearly happened, and this time it finally happened.

The worst thing is having the hundreds of eyes on me in the situation. I'd really like to ask them how the scene was like...
The instant right after the startling moment, I thought it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I was proven wrong minutes and hours later, discovering the pain and the patches...

Bad luck, I'd say. After all the shuttle waitings and this. A lesson for not sleeping enough. And perhaps another reason...?

Good luck everyone, in the exam and all~

Awards Day

A late post indeed... forgive me :)

Awards Day was on last Thursday, and the previous years I thought I wouldn't have the chance to attend. But a pleasant surprise, definitely, never dare to expect it. I'm just to happy for it... and my beloved dad & mom, thanks for being there ;)

The event was dragged long by the 'congratulatory + statistics + quality + many other subjects' speech. But it got more fun before it ended... the party was at the back of the hall where we snapped the camera away~ haha..

Too bad the Thief flew away for the mid-term... ;P

Happy Raya!

Raya this year is expected to be less of open-houses to attend *boooo~~* but was good enough to be meeting up with the very-long-time-no-see friends. This time at a different location which is definitely a better choice =)
Lady luck wasn't with Eng as her shoes got 'stolen' by someone having similar shoe type.. (optimistically, she got herself a new pair of shoes~ :)

And her order of lunch wasn't good as well. Poor her~

Photobucket

A unique gathering indeed, that Theng even got tutoring on math and circuits on the spot!
Photobucket
Haha.. and it ended up Liang and others solving the math question, the PSpice learning without much advancement, and the ME wondering if I ever studied circuits and electronics!! My... I'd better go dig into the books...

Being with the gurls makes me feel like myself again..
Photobucket

Happy Raya everyone!!
