Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Captain Jack Sparrow is caught up in another tangled web of supernatural intrigue. Although the curse of the Black Pearl has been lifted, an even more terrifying threat looms over its captain and scurvy crew: it turns out that Jack owes a blood debt to the legendary Davy Jones, Ruler of the Ocean Depths, who captains the ghostly Flying Dutchman, which no other ship can match in speed and stealth. Unless the ever-crafty Jack figures a cunning way out of this Faustian pact, he will be cursed to an afterlife of eternal servitude and damnation in the service of Jones. This startling development interrupts the wedding plans of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, who once again find themselves thrust into Jack's misadventures, leading to escalating confrontations with sea monsters, very unfriendly islanders, flamboyant soothsayer Tia Dalma and even the mysterious appearance of Will's long-lost father, Bootstrap Bill. Meanwhile, ruthless pirate hunter Lord Cutler Beckett of the East India Trading Company sets his sights on retrieving the fabled "Dead Man's Chest." According to legend, whoever possesses the Dead Man's Chest gains control of Davy Jones, and Beckett intends to use this awesome power to destroy every last Pirate of the Caribbean once and for all. For times are changing on the high seas, with businessmen and bureaucrats becoming the true pirates--and freewheeling, fun-loving buccaneers like Jack and his crew threatened with extinction.

What is up with me??!

Somehow, I don't seem to have much luck these few weeks.
Two weeks ago, I sprained my left foot.

Today, i hurt my right foot!

Oh gosh... This happened when I was having my nap in the afternoon. I don't know how or why I woke up in between, maybe because of the mosquito which was happily feeding on me.

I too have no idea why I wanted to stand up that time, with my cramped leg. when I wanted to stand up, I hit my foot too hard, and it hurt!! OOOHH!!

And because of the mosquito, I could't sleep much later on. Damn the mosquito!

So I am back to my "penguin-walking" days again. Really really hope that it will get well soon.

Condolences

My greatest Condolences to Ken Chu and his family.

Ken's father, Chu Yue Ming, passed away on July 11, 2006, because of liver cancer (as I have heard).

Ken was in deep grief. Despite this, he continued his work in Xinjiang, China, where he was filming a drama, <>.

He wasn't able to go back to Taiwan so soon, as his absence would affect to filming of the drama. He will return for the Funeral at the end of the month.

Condolences to the Chu family.

Siti's marriage

A few years ago I've been wondering why Siti Nurhaliza was staying single despite her great looks and talent.

Now I hav e an answer. So, she's engaged to Dato' K, huh? Rumors have been spreading for some time, and they've finally confronted the press and the country about their relationship.

Sometimes I wonder, why do famous artists often get 'hooked up' with businessman? Is it really love, or other things like money and status, too contribute to this?

Well, though it's many females' dream to get married to a rich man, I'm not so sure if this is the same for Siti, whom I believe, has a fortune herself, being one of the most popular singers in this country. And there were stories...

Anyway, I still wish all the best to the couple. Congrates!

Ohh.. Me

You Are Uptown

You are classy, cultured, and well educated. You are an expert on the finer things in live.
Your city girl persona loves all of the opportunities a city offers. But only in the best neighborhoods.

Aha... my dream guy?

He's a Keeper!

Your guy is a rare find: sweet, kind, and loyal.
And as long as he doesn't have three nipples,
You should seriously consider keeping him a long time

Sometimes a girl can't see a good thing when she's got one
So let me tell you: your guy is a gold medal boyfriend
Just make sure you treat him right in return!

If this is reality, it ain't bad after all... hehe!

Sprained my ankle!!!

I really hope this would never happen to me. But it did, today.

I was happily and excitingly playing basketball with my high school friends at High school today, when this unfortunate accident happened.

It wasn't even 1 hour of playing, when once I passed over the ball to a teammate while running.

Suddenly my foot twisted! The immense pain shot up from my foot to my ankle then my whole leg. I couldn't stand it and so had to sit on the floor for a minute. I felt my foot burning like hell! Arghhhh!!!

I managed to get off the court to rest at a bench. did a little massaging to my foot, and found out that it was most painful on the left part. Maybe I had 'pulled' (hopefully not torn) my muscle there.

I thought I would observe for a while to see if I'll be okay in some time. But when I got up and walked for a few steps, the pain came again. In the end, I had to go to the PBSM room for some treatment.

SW helped me to massage my foot (she used to be one from PBSM). I want to thank her a lot, for me. Thanks to her as well as L Eng for giving me a hand (or two). I don't know how I should do without them around..hehe...

I didn't go to seek treatment at "Tie Da" as my dad said it was only muscle sprain, no 'bone-moving' after his checking. He did help me massage with the "Tie da" oil, which was so so painful! when I move around or walk, I have to slant my foot, only using the right part, and still, everything was painful.

I'm quite worried about the next few days. I wonder if I can climb up the 5 flight of stairs at sunday school tomorrow. I can't really skip class on Monday, as my schedule is packed for Mondays. Oh dear, now I realise the huge importance of my foot!I really do hope everything gets well by tomorrow.

Just JJ

Woohoo! So exciting!

Last Friday, we finally got to know that we have tickets to JJ Lin's concert! It was at Genting Arena of Stars, on July 1 2006 at 8pm. It was cousin Heck who gave us a lift up there. Thousands of thanks to him! he brought along a female fren cum housemate of his, while my sis Jin brought her fren along. 6 all together. Quite a hard time squeezing in the car!

We have 4 seating tics and 2 free standing tics. My elder sis and I 'volunteered' to stand...heehee... We were standing quite far from the front rail, somewhere to the left of the stage. The view was not so satisfying.

The concert was so cool.. so hot! (huh? ...) In the beginning, the dancers came out to stage before the show started to give us a warm-up. They taught us some dance steps for a song [Jiu Shi Wo]. It was so so cool! SO glad that I know how to dance some steps (move actually...)
*And as a bonus, we saw a really cute dancer. He was standing on our side during the warm-up, but later during the concert we see less of him. anyway, he's really handsome, I guess he caught quite some attention from the audience, and I guess he was the one whom JJ said looked like Rain!*

To say the truth, I was there 'mainly' to see Yee Chung, who was the guest artist. I was afraid I would feel bored. But I was wrong. It was all high throughout the night. His dance moves were just more than impressing, showing his multi-talent on stage.

During the time of duet with another guest artist, Jin sha (Kim), JJ played the keyboard. On the huge screen, the camera was shooting him close-up, it was one of my favourite scene. TThe way he was singing and playing the keyboard at the same time. I really do admire talented guys!

when Yee Chung came out, I was so excited! Of course! JJ and YC had a chat, with JJ congratulating YC on his achievement. They had a 'PK' competition (which wasn't quite a comepetition), where YC played JJ's well-known songs with guitar, while JJ will sing YC's songs over his keyboard. They sang the songs [Zai Jian], [Jiang Nan], [Shi Lian Xue], [Shou Neng Sheng Qiao], and dueted a song which YC wrote the lyrics for JJ, [Liu Xing Zhu Jiao]. This was my favourite part of the show (other than YC's performance ;D), I was so much amazed and admire YC's guitar skills as well as JJ's on the keyboard. Great job boys!

Later Yee Chung presented [Kao An] and [Gong Ti Bei]. He was such a marvelous guy, even being very tired from his drama shooting, he still gave his best in this show. So sweet that he kept suppoting JJ!

*It was so cute when YC realised that his 'name' was in JJ's [Jiang Nan], he gestured to himself, and changed the lyrics of the last line to [zhu JJ cheng gong] (wish for JJ's success)! He was so supportive of JJ , and even changed his song's lyrics to [yi jian dao Lin Jun Jie] (seeing JJ lin) in his song [Gong Ti Bei]! and while singing [Kao An], some of the audience put up their unbrellas! SO ggod that they support YC!*

By the third quarter of the concert, I felt sleepy. I didn't quite have to energy to cheer , but just kept on enjoying the show. It was fortunate that JJ often came to our side of the stage, it was fun seeing a superstar close-up!

By the time the concert ended, I was feeling immense pain in my legs. But even though, I still tried to stay around to catch a glimpse of the cute dancer (but I failed to). we even thought of going to the hotel to try to catch up with JJ or Yee Chung. But we didn't anyway, didn't want to cause trouble for our cousin.

And so, that was the concert. I really did enjoy it, I miss it a lot, both JJ and Yee Chung. That leaves an amazing memory in my life. ALL da best, JJ!

Hmm...

Yesterday...

As usual I was going to the campus using LRT. When I came out of the Putra LRT station heading to for that of Start LRT, as I was walking (or rather rushing?!) down the staircase, I noticed a person walking up. I was wndering whether it was a male or a female. Well, I concluded that it was a guy. What caught my attention was, his face is quite smooth and fair. And not too long hair. With a bagpack and earphones.

"Wait a minute."

As I revised his appearance in mind, I thought, "Hey, that looks familiar... Daniel??!"

Yes, I meant Daniel Lee. Some of u might know that Daniel is quite a 'pretty boy'. And that guy, the shape of his face, his eyes (when he 'scanned' at me for a second), his appearance (dressing... cool), and his... height. Ohh, was it really Daniel?

I thought I would go back there to have a second peep. But no, I couldn't. I had to catch the LRT.

But reasoning out, I guess that couldn't be him, because he is a celebrity now, why take to LRT? And at this time of the morning (peak time)?

Yeah... and so, I concluded it was not him. Haha... Girls... really know how to dream.. even day-dream! But then, it was fun, added colour to my routine life.

Moreover, that was a 'pretty boy' too. Not so bad after all!

FIFA World Cup Germany 2006

Ooooohh! The World Cup is here! and the world goes into the football frenzy-- or rather CRAZE again!

Not many would believe I would be following this kinda trend. well, it seems not as exciting as watching the Thomas Cup (badminton), but it is still a kind of entertainment for me though.

My first match (watching, of course), was Germany against Costa Rica. Germany team had a good start, scoring the first goal in the 6th minute. The match result was 4-2, with Germany in victory. It was quite enjoyable watching, because Germany was my team... haha... although I fell asleep even before half time (forgive me... I was tired... school day.. man).

Today I watched a delayed live of enhland (also my team) versus Paraguay. I was a little surprised at England team's performance... not too good. They won in the end at 1-0, but because of Own Goal 'contributed' by a Paraguay player.

Hope to be able to catch more of the matches.

Modem

My modem was struck by lightning on May 25th (if I'm, not wrong). Then, it was one week that we couldn't surf the Net. Thanks to my sis.

It was fortunate that the lightning didn't strike our System Unit, or it would have cost us a lot. Even after 2 strikings! Whew...

The modem could not be repaired. The area for connection line is broken down (though the modem still can be turned on). We got a new, but different model modem, which I believe, is faster.

Thank goodness, now I can surf the Net again! I need it for my studies.

Now my family has learnt a lesson. *When I told them and practised to pull out the plugs during thunderstorms, they don't take a damn.*
Now everytime when there's lightning, they don't watch TV, and even pulled our every plugs for TV and PC. Haha! Now they know.

A lesson

I was met with a BIG problem last two weeks. On May 25th. (maybe)

Our modem was struck by lightning! It was fortunate that it didn't strike our System Unit, that would have costed us a lot!

My sister was using the Computer when the incident occurred. I was lucky to get back home right before the thunderstorm started. I found my sis using the PC, but too bad, I didn't realise that the PC should not be used during thunderstorms. Well, If it were me, I would have closed the PC right away.

But she didn't. And even after the first thunder struck and our electric power was cut off, she kept the PC open. ANd goodness, a second one struck and cut off our power again. After that, my elder sis made her turn the PC off. But it was too late.

When I wanted to get online that night, the connection wasn't right. A few days later, after my dad sent it for repair, the problem was found out that the area for connection line was down.

Last Friday, we got a new modem. A different model. Somehow, the fixing task 'automatically' fell on me. Anyway, I thought it was fun...haha. But having some trouble, I finally got everything done at night.

Weeeee! Can surf the Net again!

Obstacles

Few weeks ago, I was very excited about it.

Last 2 weeks, I was equally excited, but worry came.

And last week, I wasn't excited anymore. I was very down.

I had been waiting for that very day. The day I can go on stage to receive my prize from the school. The day I can see my friends again. The day I can see my teachers again.

However, very unfortunately, the day clashes with a test at U. I thought I would just skip class that day, if not for the test. I couldn't choose between the two, go for the ceremony, or the test. When I finally decided to give up attending the ceremony, I felt a sense of relief, but at the same time, very sad and disappointment.

Who should I blame? The lecturer, for 'misunderstanding' me, or the school, for delaying the ceremony (to Teachers' Day)? Haiz... I guess I can't blame anyone, It's something which we have to go through in life, we have to make many choices. The choice is up to myself. I can't have a cake and eat it.

Well, now that it's over, I don't feel so sad anymore. Still a bit of regret, but I let it go. Attachment only causes suffering. Hopefully I will meet my friends this week (as they are having holidays now). Hope to have a good time then!

What A Day...

Wow! A day of happiness and... 'sadness'. The sad thing is, my friends saw Lim Yee Chung in Central Market, possibly filming his drama. It was at about 1.45pm, when I was still in the LRT. Damn! Now I really missed him. It's funny, coz my friend just came from there to work in KLCC. Anyway, guess that I don't have the luck to meet him, yet, hopefully will. By the way, my friend said that he was in front of a shop, not sure of which one. They don't really know what he was doing there. Heehee...

Okay, the happy thing! I 'finally' met my DEAR friend on the LRT! When I knew she was travelling to her college in Central Market by LRT, I had hoped to be able to 'crash' into her on the LRT. Like the dramas. Haha! And now I really did! I was waiting at the door where I don't usually wait, and when the Train was stopping, I noticed her inside, and she did too! Wow... such a great surprise! Was so Glad to see her that I wanted to hug her! Haha.. but I didn't, coz I'm afraid to be summoned, or get beaten up by her BF (which she just told me). Didn't have a long chat, coz she was going off at KLCC, which is only about 3 stations away.

My 'working' days started today, and the first job is typing. Might be boring, but not so tough, and the lecturer was quite friendly.Hope it will be okay throughout the semester.

P/S: Yesterday can be considered an "unlucky" day, because on my way back home, I missed the Edu-Van, the Star LRT and Putra LRT. Geesh.

*Appreciate what you have and the people around you.*

Stefanie Sun's Concert

Date: May 6, 2006
Venue: Genting Arena of Stars
Time: 8.00pm

My sisters and mom went there with my cousin Heck. we waited for other cousins to join us. Was a bit surprised to find my little niece Candy tagging along. Haha! Such a lucky girl (she's seen Jolin Tsai live before, and now Stefanie!)

The opening was quite interesting. She started with a soft and sweet song (just a few lines), then disappeared and came out with a fast note! It was very cool!

I didn't note down the songs that she sang, but it was all great performance. She had a wig on, that is, long hair, which made her look very beautiful and super! Her dressing were as colorful as usual, and her dance moves added excitement to the concert. In the end, during the encore, she came out with a "stick" (don't know how to name it), and played 'Mexican Wave' with the audience. Aha! That was the fun part.

We had such a great time, cheering and shouting and screaming, although she's not really in my favourite list, but I do like many songs of hers. My cousins too, turned really 'high' (though they are more than 10 years older than us!) Cousin Heck had the most memorable time. During a time when Stefanie came down the stage to shake hands with the fans, (I was unlucky...)he ran to the front very quickly and managed to hold Stefanie's hand with both his hands! Hahaha! He was really excited and kept repeating that he held her hand! With both hands! And didn't want to let go! Hehe... *I thought he would not be able to sleep that night, but he did anyway, before nay of us did! I suggested that he would not wash his hands anymore...haha... but he did anyway! hehe*

We left the arena after the encore, and so, unfortunately missed a solo presented by Stefanie herself after the concert. According to the paper, she came out in normal dress code to 'shoo' the remaining fans. In order to satisfy them, she sang a few line of 2 songs. Wow... the fans are definitely lucky!

Before the start of the concert, we heard and noticed a guy coming in from another gate (not in use). Heard people said it was John, the <> winner, and when I looked, I only saw his back with a bag, but it looked very like him! However, the paper mentioned that Daniel Lee was there for the concert, hmm... was that him instead? No idea...

---------------------------

To end the day (or rather night), we all went for supper at Desa Setapak. (Supper is very special to me... I haven't really had any for long! Haha!) The "great" thing was, I rained cats and dogs while we were eating. We were half wet by the time we reach home, let alone the 'drivers', Cousin Heck and Cousin Boon. Except for Cousin Boon and his little family, the other cousins stayed at our house for the night.

Though we are quite disappointed by the fact that David Tao's concert has been postponed to October, this one is very satisfying... for the moment. Happieee...

1st week at school

So I finally settled down. I'm currently studying at University College Sedaya International. 1st day of school was on 2nd May 2006.

Gotta say, it's reali boring to be here all alone. With no friends at all joining here with me, I feel really miserable.

I thought I could cope with the 'presure' of loneliness, but as days go by, I started to feel fed-up and tired of this life. Travelling for 2 hour (without sitting for at least an hour) everyday, then walking in the campus like an alien, without friends... Haiz...

As the weekend passed, I feel very down whenever I think of school. For the 1st week, not much class was conducted, the most important thing is ATTENDANCE. Pooh! Some lecturers even think of taking about 20 minutes to do the attendance!

Not that I haven't acquanted anyone at all. On the 2nd day I met a girl who is a senior; she's one year older than me, and she offered me many tips around the campus, and accompanied me. That's my 1st friend here, Angie. In physics class, I acquanted Kar Mun, who is also a scholar, but her scholarship is from UCSI.

On Friday, I met with a problem of 'time-clashing' of subjects. The Lab time for Physics clashes with Malaysian Studies, so we have to choose. Finally settled it today, where the Lab time will be on Thursday. However, My Course Selection hasn't been approved yet. That means my name won't be on the attendace list yet.

Now is the free time, waiting for a class at 3.30pm. It's a cool thing there's a computer lab here, where we can get online.

Won't be tooooo bored after all. Hopefully.

My Future Path

I attended an interview session on 22nd April at Sin Chew office for Sin Chew Scholarship. I waited for more than 2 hours before my turn, because the interview was about half an hour for one person, and finally, my turn! I was interviewed by another person, it went out quite smoothly, though I was the usual nervous lad.

After that, the next few days was to consider whether to take up this course. I applied for Electrical and Electronic Engineering in University College Sedaya International (UCSI). Why consider it even before getting a reply? That's because I have only about 1 day to consider it if I ever get the scholarship. I was to start attending the orientation on 26th April. Besides this, I am waiting for a reply from Matriculation, which I have tried to appeal, and there's also Form 6 as an option.

By luck, I was offered the scholarship! After all the consideration and worries and everything, I decided to accept the offer. Part of the reason is that since I have a chance to do a course I am interested in, it is a good chance for me, whereas if I take up STPM, I may not have a course I desire in local university. ANd in fact, I am so so afraid of STPM, which is more academic and self-study, and the standard is way up higher than that of SPM. As for matriculation, I doubt that I have any chance of getting it, moreover, it is better to do a course in English rather than in Malay.

Though I met with some problems these two days, and I'm quite anxious about my classes which will start next week, I feel that it will turn out okay in some time. One tough thing: I have to face with the reality that a larger percentage of the students are male, and in fact, I may be the only girl in class! Wow! Makes me sweat even thinking of it. No way turning back, I'll have to cope with it, though now I may be very scared, I still don't know the real situation by then. Let's just hope for the best. I still have my best friends back here to support me!

Good luck to myself and also my friends out there!
