Should have left a goodbye post before flying off to Sabah last Sunday. And returning home finding people spamming the chatbox wasn't quite right... (wow, only if it really were Rynn over here~)
Went for class yesterday, and the FAQ is "How was the camp?" And yea, I gave the same answer dozens of times, "It was fun!" =) Well, sorry if it I gave the feeling that I should have not been there [for one thing, I never will regret not going for it], but I had an assignment to submit within 19 hours after touch down of the flight. If I had the time, I will certainly talk about the every bits of the time there =D
I'd say, the camp was one of the best happenings in my life. In hopes that, it will be a twist in life. It isn't miraculous that I can live without mp3 for the few days (since I had it for 21 days in Taiwan), but to actually enjoy it... It's fun to experience a different culture for once in a lifetime. And somehow, for a somewhat photoholic like me, it wasn't too bad to not bring the camera... because of that, I actually have a lot more time and concentration on the surroundings andthe atmosphere.
What made this possible for me, I have a thousand thanks to my university for the sponsorship. For the first times... first outdoor camp, first time to Sabah (and East Malaysia), first time exposre to such a different world. Thanks to my parents.. for approving my wild decision to skip the cousin's wedding and fly off with a bunch of strangers. Thanks to the 'bunch of strangers' who have become the greatest group of friends ever. Thanks to the group Delta for the effort in the assignments. Thanks to them as well for the laughter that got us crazy... Thanks to the facilitators for the effort. Whole lots of thanks to The Star for putting this altogether.
And finally, thanks to Mary-Ruth for putting up with my lame 'speech' and 'jokes'... =D
Pics coming up, hopefully... after my tests and assignments.

DOWN
Mother nature is the powerful one. Who can stop it from shaking the violent earth crust and sending down the hundreds of buildings onto the thousands of people? We are lucky that we are sitting here safe and sound. Probably we cannot deny that it's the fate of those unfortunate...it's all too tragedic.
Though I have a better fate (for now), I am not as lucky either. The first blow was when the harddisk corrupted... and the data are unretrieveable!! My oh my... all my work of the past half year disappeared like that, and there goes my beloved and treasured photos of Taiwan trip!! ARRGHHHH!!! I can't believe this is happening over again. Too much trust in the hardware.
And as if that wasn't enough, the last of softcopy and documents in my pendrive were also GONE!! That was probably caused by virus during some file transfer. And bamm!! Thare goes my last storage, and more importantly, the work of project I have done the whole night and due the next day...
So many problems come crashing down on me at the same time. It's so exhausting it can keep the dark clouds over me the whole week. I really do hope to end this chain of bad luck.

Yogurt!
Recently I've been really into yogurt...
In fact, I'm more addicted in making it, rather than eating it~ hehe
Well coz this is considered the least troublesome kind of dessert!
The only ingredients needed are hot and cool water, milk powder and some pure yogurt.

You mix them together...

After 5 hours of incubation...

Wala~!! You've got a pot of yogurt waiting for you!!

Right.. this is probably just too boring... especially for the milk-haters~ =.=ll
But anyway, yogurt is really good!
If only there are more fruits to go with it~ =D

Goodbye
Though hardly ever know him and never really a friend, he was a schoolmate whom I recognise by face. It was what that happened to him that really kept him in mind. That about a year and 8 months ago, he was the victim of a snatch theft in town, and left him in a coma status till yesterday... when, sadly, he lost the battle. His passing away is a pathetic one, especially for his family, and on such occasion as Mother's day... and to his friends as well as everyone wh had known him.

Mom's day~
As if the biggest internationally celebrated event every year. And I'm glad mom had a nice day (I hope I'm right). Over the past few weeks of holiday, I have tried to maintain a peaceful and good relationship with mom. And why suddenly so, I'm not sure, probably a change in mindset...
Sometimes I would crave, but thinking back, I should not and do not regret for making the choice. At least, what had happened in the past few months... I am glad I was around when the incident took place. Even if I didn't prove much help. That's why I place family on top of everything else. And I wana treasure every moment with them.
It was a day of reunion and farewell as well. YZ going to PD for industrial training. That will mean less chance of seeing her around for 2 months. Saddening me, since we've been hanging around closer during her study leave. and the fact that Jin is having her exam now, there will not be really anyone to talk to at home. Arghhh... the sienness climbing up me. Right, frankly speaking, I would just miss her...
Dad returned from Australia, and surprisingly, like a Santa Claus, brought us some really cute stuff - stuffed toy souvenirs!! Ahh.. I admit I have a weak point on them~ I just love them!! Especially the Koala handphone pouch!! (this cute creature which came around right after I made myself my pouch~)
And it wasn't long before I started naming them after the five gods of the east~

And how I wish I can keep all of them...

^^
What I have always loved to do.
Due to shortage of materials, the initial ideas of some craved-for designs were called off.
Though not the best, I love it =)

Year 2
Year 2 of the engineering course officially starting on Monday. But it hasn't been fine for me since I caught flu & fever then sore throat & cough and even attacked by gastric problem. Great... that means calling off the plans and obediently stay at home.
What's even more disappointing is knowing someone who will not proceed with us. Probably that's the best choice for him for he find it stressing to catch up. And now the gang is getting smaller with the absence of a nice, easy-going, reliable and generous friend [and a good driver =) ]. Ahh... will miss him so...
All the best, Heng.

mystory
It's rather unbelieveable... the people whom I thought I would never see or get in touch with anyore since I or they left the place...
It shouldn't be, with the Internet so widely used throughout the world. And of course, some day I SHOULD be able to contact them. But to know that some of them still remember me!! I thought I was like a quiet devl sitting at a corner of the classroom almost always with a book in the hand. But I guess my surname was easy enough to remember (though my first name is still uneasily recalled~)
Then the numerous photos of the college that grabed my memories... the changes in the people, the college, the Beijing... It's a pity we were just kids then and didn't have such easily available technology to record the times.
Ahh.. but the photos they have... I can't believe this one existed~

This... I wonder if anyone could really recognize me?!!
If I'm not wrong, that could be Sundus, my then best friend Sandy, the ever-blonde Bela and ever-popular Mdm Ally with the...funny-looking me~ the trip to Christland in Tianjin was on eof the best ever, can't believe the crazy-of-them-park me was so young then~ Arghhh.. it's crazy~

Gathering #2
Which was supposed to be the third, if not for last year's cancellation.
It was a nice one, although the rate of attendance was still as of before... low.
The different batch on people, some same old gang... did matter, as long as they were there to mix around. Except the few coupled ones who just cared for their own business... as if they weren't part of it. We call it 重色轻友..hah~
It was a good time talking to the old friends. Almost an 8-hour non-stop chat which extended from the coffee house MCX (I damn don't like it there~) to my house~ hehe... Though it was kinda a 'teacher gathering', it was fun listening to them bragging about the incidents at their schools. And the bosses. And the past times in high school. And...
It felt like the olden days then. Being with them and chatting and talking freely and laughing loudly was such a refreshment... hard to realize that we are all on our new pathways in life. In no time everyone would be flying to the different corners of the world for tertiery education. And hard to imagine who will still be left here...
Arghhh... sad to think of it. Just hope there will still be gatherings for the future.
All the best to my dear ex-classmates!!

Lesson
This is just so ridiculous... even I can't believe it happened...
Realize the true meaning of the evil of the working society. Being nice will never bring you anywhere... in fact, it will only kill you. Especially if you are a newbie in this strange world.
And damn I was. Because of similar experience of the sis, I wasn't persistent enough in getting my pay for te job. And after five months now, I haven't even got the hundred and twenty bucks which might be nothing for them but definitely important for me. And only discovering the truth behind all these afer talking to the friend. Proving luckier than her, it was a huge lesson for me...
After this, the phobia arisen... not that serious though, but just the caution in getting part-time jobs. I wonder if this is the trend, especially in event companies... for I still have the will in working for events. But even if I'm not afraid, I wonder if my parents will let me.
A good experience, a big lesson.
So, never be always nice...

Torch Relay!
It was a mission to get of house during holidays.. nah not really...
The 2nd ever Torch Relay in Malaysia. And the target is to watch Rynn Lim as the torch bearer. Met up with YZ who came with the long-time-no-see Muffy and Nani at B. Times Square. Had a mad time hanging around before the torch came... the memories, the Pakistani accent flying everwhere!! Haha...
Nani, YZ and I
About 4 something the torch finslly came... but to our dismay, Rynn wasn't here!! Got to know later that his part was at the beginning of the road, and we innocently thought they were gonna run for 250 meters... when they actually ran less than 100 m! Ahh.. frust!!
The torch.. and the bearer whom I don't know.. =/
But probably me... just felt like running with the Chinese students [actually just hoping Rynn's part wasn't over]... ran along with the parade. It was to our disappointment... but the good thing is... seeing Rynn in the bus!!! Rite... and you would have expected me to wave madly at him.. which I did of course! And he responded well, even gestured to us [yes us, that is my sis and I~] !!
Rynn with his gambateh pose!!
Ahah~ and that really kept me running! Haha.. this was way better than jogging... except for the rain, which delayed the procession near KL Tower. And when nearing KLCC, witnessed the torch without the fire... [that's too bad...] It was a hell of a place at KLCC - crowds, umbrellas... the stage was unseenable. And not able to find Rynn... ahh... =( But probably it was worth well.. knowing that I can make this far! And getting to witness the relay, and of course... getiing to see Rynn~ =D

The power of Dion
One of the biggest concerts in town, yet one of the shortest.
A one-and-a-half-hour concert of quality, of course (even DYMM Agong and Tun Mahathir were there~), only that the second half of the concert was... kinda boring to us... unfamiliar songs, that is. Still, there were the her hits like {The Power of Love}, {All By Myself}, {Because of You}, etc. Unfortunately not many of our own favorites.
singing {I'm Your Angel} :)
Rocking away...
Encore song {My Heart Will Go On}
and that's the only change of suit...

Choice
It's worth it. I hope.
After all the tension of having to complete the assignment with lack of information, after all the trouble of rushing for the interview back at South Wing right after the lab test.
And I was selected to join the camp at Sabah!!
But the fact that I was torn between making a choice of two events - my cousin's wedding, a long-waited one, or the Camp, a once-in-a-lifetime chance. The cousin is, of course, considered one of the closest. We all have been waiting to 'drink his 喜酒'!
But the P2P Camp... such a rare chance. something that I have longed for... and it's SABAH! How in any other way will I have a chance to set my foot there??! Especially now, it's fully sponsored!
I know it's not right to FFG my cousin, but it seems all wrong to let go of the chance to Sabah just like that!
Hah... and so...
I am going to Sabah!! =D

Relief!
Technical Communication COMPLETED!
Submitted the Final Report, ended our Presentation! A day I have so much longed for!
The semester has been very tough because of this course, and now that the assessment has been completed, I get to relax my mind for a while and concentrate on the final exam.
It hasn't been a smooth path ever since we start on the project. Even up til the very last minute, There is still the problem of miscommunication, misunderstanding and misconception happening in our group. And a tripping stone to the progress of preparation which almost failed us! [Thanks to the dear broadband streamyx...] It's true that we cannot live without Internet nowadays...
So much that I had worried for the team, the presentation turned out better than expected. Though it didn't seem as good as other groups', most of the members were able to keep the flow going when they had to speak on topics not theirs. It wasn't fair somehow, that we had to follow this system (our fate to have to present when we we called), while the later groups get to follow their own sequence in presenting. Somehow, we were always the guinea-pigs...grrr...
And the team. Find it very tough as a leader for the first time. The brain that I so much used up in editing their work and doing the other 'unimportant' work; the miscommunication and misconception; the incidents that really got on my nerves... having to bear all these, for the sake of the team. Though all these, I still appreciate them as part of the team, and as long as they have put their effort in the project, they deserve my huge THANK YOU!!
At the end of the day, Although all the unsatisfactoriness in the work, I'm so glad to get the acknowledgement from the lecturer:
"I enjoyed reading your report."
That's what's that mattered most =D

Robot
Thought I would not stand it, but the mid-night bus went running all the way for 16 hours!
Now that's a record for me! My best record (that I remember) was an hour's sleep... for the same course assignment as well. As if my research project entitled Robotics is turning myself into a ROBOT itself~ And except for the tire and some blurness in talking (or that I just can't speak cantonese~), I was still okay! =)
Didn't expect the report would turn out.. so bad. There wasn't enough time to edit the other articles... which were so much like c&p. Seems like I don't even wana look at it. I'd say, the proposal and progress report were more of satisfaction.
And after that, having one of them kinda blaming me for not informing him VERBALLY when I wanted more editing. As if I'm here to serve them. (Yeah.. why volunteer to be the leader?!!) And having another one saying he doesn't want to edit anymore coz he doesn't have time...(As if I AM very free!!) It was like only two and a half persons working on the project only... so how should I evaluate??!
Now the presentation, having to deal with DH and the members - uncertainty here, unsatisfactory there. WHAT SHOULD I DO??!
p/s: A huge Thank You to TC who offered to help! Really appreciate that... =)

20
Gotta persuade myself into accepting that.
Hah... a rather quiet birthday this year, but better compared to the previous ^^..
The day started off quite 'terribly', when the bus and more than half the team FFGed (FFG = fong fei gei~); and rather 'boringly', attending a conference about renewable energy at UM, which was chemical engineering stuff, couldn't really concentrate, since it 'has nothing much to do with my course'.
Moreover, discovering that we were like one of three 'other Universities' attending the ceremony. And the day spent chatting away with the guys... never had been so unattentive!
Lunch unprovided, so returned to Connaught. Got stuck in traffic and rain (Rynn's back!), before heading to Wong Kok for lunch.. at 3pm.
Hah.. andnow, my first birthday with engineering gang! And a HUGE glass of milk tea!! Hahaha~
Thanks for the treat guys!!

extreme
EMT mid-term exam. Unexpectedly low marks. The questions were easy. The problem was witht he answers. This is so true...
Had a lil chat with a coursemate today, when he said (based on my speech presentation) that he liked my prestige, that I was different from the other girls... was like a business woman.
OK... Thank him a lot for his compliments (if it's of any)... and yes, being different is not a bad thing...
but business woman??! Never have I thought I would give this kind of impression to people, since I have always thought that I am not one for business! Now that's a srprising one, but probably I should pay some attention on it~
Probably the thought of a none-business person has ended myself here. The fact that I still doubt whether I am the one for engineering, I do not know whether I will be working with guys... at least, for long. And when people asks whether I chose this course because I preferred to sit in an A/C room...which is definitely not the case, coz I often freeze!
Though all the way since kindergarten, I find myself still very attached to art. Though I have almost lost the touch of it nowadays, I keep poking my nose into my friends' design project. Coming up with crazy ideas for them to solve. And expecting myself to volunteer after the finals (if I'm ever too free).
And then, my crave for music never dies... it was always there.. yet unseen.

LATE-ly
The huge thing of the previous week. STPM result out.
All the while I've been one of those chased-after people for the result. This time I was the one who was asking around.
Somehow the performance of my ex-schoolmates were far better than I expected. Ah.. congrates guys! So proud of you!
And finally finishing my dear progress report, along with another assignment, persuasive speech and yet another proposal to chase. Never though the report would come out so long.. [should I regret putting in too much work?!] Now how should I expect the final report to be??!
5 days left. Before I have to label my age starting with two. Feels very very weird... it's like turning old~
hmm... so should I be enjoying away these final days of teenage? =)

relax
That's what I really crave for right now.
To sleep without having to plan what to do in the coming week.
To eat without thinking what I have just done and not yet done.
To sit at the computer without bringing my pendrive and file with me. ;)
It's like ages since I've hung out with friends. The last time being the the time in Taiwan. The numerous shopping sprees wherever we went. The craze in the amusement park. The excitement (or disappointment) or discovering our rooms. Hah... The memories seem to fade away when I discovered I forget some of the names of those friends (sorry people). Hopefully that doesn't happen to experience of the formosa.
And hah.. moving pictures do help memories... though all others are only photos. The one and only video I have of the tour... credits to PeiFang (our counselor ^^) for uploading :)
It's funny and weird, but it's something to me... hehe...
The "3 Days 3 Nights" dance performance by group7~!

Unbreakable
ahh finally... the BIG day!!
Being a fan of a decade, I finally got to see my first fave artist perform live!! Backstreet Boys Unbreakable Tour... the Malaysia stop! It's a pity they aren't fivers anymore, but anyhow, I find myself still as crazy of them! Hahaa...
Quite some audience were foreigners, and I actually witnessed racial integration in the fans!! (Does this work for M'sian Studies project??!) And that, many of these people love to SMOKE! Never have I been to a concert with so many smokers (or rather, usually concert venues don't allow smoking). And because of some management problem, the early birds (including us) were frustrated over the management team for letting in the latecomers FIRST through another side gate! And one thing I don't understand is why YZ and her friends took all the trouble to squeeze to the front (yes, I believe we were much hated by many), yet reaching the venue, they preferred to stand at the back... [sweat...alot.]
Though delayed for an hour (privilege of VIP?!), the one-and-a-half-hour concert was superb, of course! The boys were as lively as before, bringing away the new songs and all-time-favorite hits with dance moves!! Seemed like how it was 10 years ago...as if they never grow old! Hehe... Brian was soooo cute, making funny gestures throughout the concert! (makes me imagine him playing with his son...^^)
Unfortunately, the photos taken was not good, and only managed to filter some clearer ones...
At the entrance
The stage and the fabulous view of Sunway Resort Hotel ;)
The lightings were good :)
"Any Other Way"
Show the Meaning of Being Lonely... by playing poker!

My favorite Brian!!
All I Have To Give dance!
[medley: As Long As You Love Me / All I Have To Give / I'll Never Break Your Heart]
"Treat Me Right"
As usual, I don't like the endings... hah~
Do hope to see a real HUGE concert of their soon!
