looking for trouble?

Seems like it. Optimistically, it should be labelled challenges. i accept that.. hah~

Took on a project which is similar to a final project, only that I have a partner and more time to work with. an exposure to our final year by loading ourselves with work now.

I FINALLY talked to a group member today.
And it STRUCK ME when the guy said,
"Discussion ar.. no need la, just divide the work..."
Sweat... how are we to divide work if we don't even have a single meeting in the first place??
And to find my team doing a team project without team-work... =.=lll

Wonder whether the split then was right.
But having no choice, it's not nice to split again or leave. Just my fate...

Now it's whether I should stand up and take control of the situation. For the sake of my future, I guess I have to.
I do hope I can work with them, and they will work with me.

...

It s****.

The worst that I have expected of the course, I never had expected my group to turn out like this. Probably it's my own problem. But I can't imagine how I am to work with people who don't seem to be there.

I would really prefer to pick my group(as anybody would), to have a choice over something at least. But my giving in to them caused myself having to clear up the trouble left behind. So now, we seem to have 3 out of 5 people in the team, adn I can't seem to find a 5th member. With the fact that the 4th member may never appear as well. The deadline is causing a lot of trouble, even from the beginning.

Somehow getting frustrated over this. Wish I could delete the 4th member off the list, then he will hate me. Wish I could just jump over to another group, then everyone will hate me.

Cool game...

a day

A guest lecturer from University of Wolverhampton was here in Technical Communication class today. If all lecturers speak Mr Phil Harris's accent, we would drown. Right... his lecture was rather interesting and fun of course. And a good exposure to his university as well, hah~
Starting on the hobby kit today, though still lack of some components. A 'wheel of fortune'. Got this out, with help from the committee members~ Though it was not successful, coz it was a wheel of fortune WITH NO SWITCH.
Photobucket
But one of the ICs (hopefully not both) burnt~ damn..

Met my darling in the LRT today, only after 15 mins of the route. She's just started her first job after graduation. Hard to imagine that she's already set foot in the society while I'm still a miniature in the engineering world.
Anyway, glad to see her again~

Kuanmootuan Taiwan Study Tour!

A week after the farewell party, I'm finally updating my blog.

It’s a strange thing that I wasn’t quite in the mood for something which I have been waiting and longing for. That was the case when I left for Kuanmootuan. Probably coz I wasn’t used to leaving home for so long. Anyway, in the end, the tour turned out fine enough, although there are things which are far from prediction.

On the 10th, we all gathered in Federal Hotel for some briefing and activities. The next day, we were the earliest to leave for Taiwan, as we had a transit at Hong Kong. First time experiencing being in 3 countries in one day. Hong Kong airport was marvelous, a place where YZ crave to be at. On the other hand, Taipei Airport was incomparable… not as new. A surprise then was, we clashed into Wakin Chau (周华健) who was rushing off through the side door. Hehe~ Didn’t manage to snap a pic.

In Taipei, our accommodation was arranged at Chien Tan Youth Activity Center. Of all the centers, it was considered the best. 6-person room we had, with 2 shower and 2 cubicles.

For meals, we were divided into permanent ‘tables’.

The food were Chinese-styled, and they have many different ways of preparing dishes using almost the same ingredients.. hah~ Somehow, majority of us did not like corn and ‘bamboo shoot’. But it didn’t bother me; I ate anything… hehe…
