爱的鼓励!

Feb 28, 2009, Sat
It was a super long and tiring day for me. But it was way longer for them.

Strangely I wasn't in the committee for both the events, yet I was in campus the whole day til night for both. So kay-poh..hah~

Went over to kacau at the TechComm Camp after the Zilog Workshop. Such a pity that an event was REALLY FINALLY going on and I was already out of the committee. But still had a 'guest appearance'!! To get into trouble.. eheh~
And as usual, as the paparazzi~

Photobucket
Just too bored...

During spotted Mr Ammar's cute cute son during ice-breaking!!

Photobucket
The banner and the little peoplesss~

Photobucket
[From left] Dr Hikmat, the committee and I!

Photobucket
The swimming pool was closed. But later saw people wadding out of it.

Photobucket
While they were having group discussion.

Photobucket
tire, tire, tire!!

Photobucket
The crazily uncontrollable people!!

And as expected, the games were the most fun part (coz the other parts were boring to them...)
Photobucket
My assigned station

Photobucket
Way Meng's which he flew off from to get the dinner ready~

Photobucket
This was the MOST FUN of all!!! But I couldn't watch from my station being blocked~ sobzzz

Photobucket
Suen Eng's station. This was challenging but interesting~

Photobucket
Danny's station. Should be fun watchin them too.

The BBQ dinner was supposed to be the most anticipated part, but ended up the committee and so few of the locals 'enjoying' it.
Photobucket

Photobucket
Oh look! The tahpau-ing people!

Photobucket
The leftovers, btw

And while waiting for the caterer to clear before we do the finishings, we have entertainment.

Photobucket
Special performance but the previous VPs. =)

Photobucket

It was then someone brought up the clapping of 爱的鼓励,which was fresh since I haven't done it for more than a year now (followed by a mixed-up clapping echo of the foreigners nearby..haha). It was fun, it really was.

It was indeed so much more work than expected, especially with the lack of committee members. Got some rough feedback (most are...), and well, what do you expect for an event about technical communication? I salute you all especially those who stayed up the nights (and hopefully you won't do that again) to cater the preparations! I'd say, this was even better than the Tech Comm course we had previously! And hey, the games were cool! (I must conquer the blowing ping-pong balls thingy~!!)

One good thing about it all is that ESA is made known to the juniors. And some came around to ask about it and some were even interested to join the committee. That's the huge reward of all the hard work. Such a relief!

Photobucket

爱的鼓励. It was what the team needed, encouragement. From external sources, as well as among themselves. So people, GAMBATEH!!

And thank you.
Thanks so much for making me feel like a part.

Zilog 2009

Was at the Zilog Workshop held by our IET student chapter to help out. But basicaly, I was useless there... since I'm not part of the committee.

Id say the one last year was better as it was clearer and more effective to be conducted by the lecturer himself, though the seniors did quite a good job. Anyway, I was there to help out even not as part of the committee. And photographing, my habit... hah, the camera as my toy~

Photobucket

Photobucket
The morning sky was nice~

Photobucket
go red!!

Halfway, noticed Kexin's puppy goin sleezy... bored?
Photobucket

Then caught Waiwai enjoying himself in the new environment!
Photobucket Photobucket
I wish I could be sitting with you!! =D

The half-day event was successful, ending with us having lunch under the sunlight-exposed cafeteria.
An experience, better than nothing. :)

the CHEAT

The first time ever in university. And probably the first time ever in my life.

Getting CHEATED by the LECTURER CONTINUOUSLY!!! I can't believe she did that for the second time this semester!!!
What'a hell is it, to set questions out of the syllabus of the exam?? Who do you think we are, and WHAT do you think YOU are???

Ms K, you won't see an ending just like that.

Swimming pool is meant for swimming.

After a year plus, I finally see clear blue water in the swimming pool in the campus. but what's with the lecturer so surprised seeing people there??! Isn't it meant for swimming? Hah.. I would too, but not when knowing people would be staring down at me in this theoretically (bcoz of engineering programs) and practically (girls seldom swim or exercise) male-dominated area! Haha...

Anyway, the one-and-a-half-hour swim on Sunday had gotten me miserable for these few days. Too long time in water... cramps and dehydration! Enjoyed it though~ Far better than jogging!! =)

And now I'm craving for bowling!! =D
hmm.. how long later will this be?

My Valentines, 好远。。。

Thought I would be spending the day with the data comm textbook, but surprisingly find myself in the middle of the town that night! :P

Was at the One Live Outdoor Broadcast concert! I guess that was my first various-artist concert, and we had to stand way at the back to watch, like 150m from the stage. It didn't feel really good, especially since Rynn only sang ONE song! And the song is [远远] (Faraway)... so it fitted the broken hearts~ All the squeezing, all the sweat, for 5 minutes...

Not all the way bad of course... I am glad I caught the performance of A-Bin, the newbie in TW!! And wow... I like his voice a lot! It's high-pitched and powerful, like Junsu's...

One conclusion I can make is, the city night life isn't for me.

the Name

It was the first time using it, the name.
It's strange as it feels labeling myself with it. But in fact, that was the purpose of it.

No matter what, I still prefer my real name.

it's like a cny day

Slept a lot, ate a lot,

but did nothing much significant.

I miss last year's CNY~

And It Was CNY

Yea... thinking how quickly it has passed by. The longest CNY holiday for years, and the longest period of days we've been back in hometown (which in fact wasn't too comfortable...I missed my bed).

It was rather surprising yet pleasant when I find the girls starting to mature in mind, or at least it was a lil different in the conversation with us. I guess they do need a lot more of exposure to the true world now as they grow up, and not be restricted by the TV and cartoons. Had a lot of fun with the youngsters, even for me, who never really initiate to play with them.. haha~

CNY started earlier when we attended a Halo promotion event at Sg Wang... and way too happy that I got them posing for my camera! (Rite.. no big deal, but it was crazy..)
Photobucket
The one who got the most flashes that day...

Photobucket
Cheng Lee and Will Ng! (Will was so cute~)

Photobucket
Tang Xiao Kang! He actually asked Rynn to pose for our cam!! So nice of him! =D

Photobucket
Man Jiang Hong

It was Chinese New Year, with the greetings and Gongxifatchai's and all, the angpaus and lots of food. How terrible it was when the naughty stomach got upset again, but was somehow okay on the day of CNY itself (yea, I bet it was longing for the bbq dinner on the eve...).

And I FINALLY learnt a game on the mahjong table! Right... I do hope I won't forget the method AGAIN... It was fun, except for my blurness~

Photobucket

It was CNY, yet you see a person with a huge red heavy bag with books inside... that was me. And hey, I DID study!! It was pretty suffering though, when everyone else were running around yet I had my face buried in 68000... And so were the other days after that when tests were there to draw frowns on the face...

Another open-house for dad and mom's colleagues and friends. However, many people didn't turn up, and thus the tons of leftover food... We've been having satays for the 4th day now...

Happy TEST-ing people...

Turn Back Time

Time, look where we are and what we've been through
Time, sharing our dreams
Time, goes on and on everyday
Time is what it is,
come what may...

Things just don't turn out to be what is planned, even though how much effort we have put in it. Sometimes we just have no idea if the choice made is right, even though we thought it should be when we made the decision.
I can't say I regret, because I know I went through a lot then, mentally, I didn't have to expose it. Just a matter of time, and people.

A lot of things I have to get used to, some that I still cannot get used to. Like not having the crowd of friends in the same class, like having myself grr-ing over someone...
And how I have not gotten used to not attending the meetings and activities with the usual gang... and how we sit at the meeting room and I hoping for good news from the pink monkey owner...

How much that things have changed, I just wish the friends won't change for the worse. Last few years I would have regretted for not choosing a program having more girls around, yet sometime now I actually thought I am glad to have them, guys or gurls (ermm.. yea.. except.. ) walking down this path with me.

Yea, I miss them.
Let's have the reunion dinner every year (or semester!) =D

We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun...

The New Year

It sucks.

When there is concert event at the campus (FOR FREE!) and I cannot take part. Again.
Guess it's just ain't my faith to do so, as I always had been since I joined the university...

The year started with a food-poisoning which was so serious that it got my mom suspecting it to be appendicitis~ **Thank goodness it wasn't!** Or I wouldn't be going for classes.. and would have missed the chance to watch MAMMA MIA! Yea~!! Never thought I could be watching the musical LIVE!! It was of course superb, and somehow again, we loved to stare at the band... great music! I love LIVE MUSIC!!

The new year marks the start of the new era of my degree program... Year 3 officially, with 4 lab sessions a week! My oh my... previously 2 sessions was 'exhausting' enough~ Lots of readings to do, whether the lecturer is good or not.
Arghhh~ I wish I could turn back time~

There were many more that we saw, I'd say these are the more significant ones.

One in a shopping mall.. marvelous!

The Candy Tree
Photobucket
The reddest tree..
Photobucket
